Raza is also struggling alarmingly. That's the danger of being a senior player playing against minnows.. can make you look terrible. As for the Scotland tour I would go with Chamu and Mire upfront. It's difficult to judge Hami right now since he is playing in Bangladesh. As for the bowling department we also don't know where Panyangara stands or are we discarding him completely for Mumba?.. I personally think it's time for both Panyangara and Mpofu to retire to make way for Ngarava Mumba and Nathan Waller in the national squad.

The squad for Sri Lanka for me has to be slightly different. Chamu struggles with spin whilst raza also adds that part time spinner element which will work well there.

Side note what's Nathan Waller's pace like? I have actually never seen anyone talking bout it.

Chamu seems to be in great nick off late. He had a few starts even in the FC games. Good to see him amongst the runs. He has been around the block for a few years maybe he is coming full circle and tht would be great for the national team cause that opening spot is a headache.

This could be the extreme pessimist in me, but the only thing I'm confident of at the moment with Nathan Waller is his big hitting ability. I'm not entirely sold on his bowling capabilities, either swing or pace wise, and feel that his wickets are more "release wickets" - the ones gifted to him by the opposition when they saw an "easier" bowler to contend with. But that's just my theory, and he has been getting wickets regularly, so no one can deny him a spot in the next national squad, so let us see how he goes...

N.Waller just seems to be dishing it up and going for plently 34 for 3 overs just too much. It would be madness to continue with him in the attack at this point.

Can anyone of the locals shed any light on this? When he played in the televised T20 comp a few years ago he was bowling at best a tad quicker than Hami or maybe in Meth's range, minus the swing. And he had the slowest run-up for a slow medium pacer I've ever seen. Has his bowling changed in any way?

The way he was target by the Namibians' today suggests he's still not bowling with much venom and they figured as much after the first two matches.

From the time Innocent Kaia started appearing for Zim A, he has been pretty consistent. We might criticize him for a couple of slow knocks, but he has been way better than the Gumbies and the Charis at the top of the order. Him and Kunje will be around the national team contention when others falter in the near future for sure... Pretty sold knock so far today.

I reckon its better having people who open regularly there at the top. Experiments with the Mires and the like just wont work. Great effort from the lad. Game is nicely poised at 178/3 after 38 overs. Surely Moor, Maruma, yes, yes Maruma and Waller can push things on from here.

Another Zim A ton for Innocent Kaia :6:

Moor doing some nice hitting again and Raza spending some time in the middle .....

Surely the idea of opening with Moor is put to rest for a while .....

Solid 4-0 series win probably said more about the quality of the Namibian team than the Zim A side .....

He's not a fan favourite on the forum but little Innocent Kaia has now scored 2 Zim A centuries in recent months, how far away is he from a national call up ?
