Just adding, Grant Flower also took 100+ wickets, at avg. 40 and strike rate 52 (both better than Pro). This while predominantly being a batting all-rounder, and definitely against stronger opposition in general too.

Pariah has his head firmly rooted in fairy land.
Thinks Prosper is better than Ray.
Thinks Madziva is a better red ball bowler than Jarvis.
Supports Julius Malema and the rest of the circus.
These are signs we shouldn't ever take him seriously

For a man who's so far away in USA, you seem to have quite the low down, chap!Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2017 2:05 amHammy? He seems a pretty decent chap. And what do the ZC need snitches for?

That is a good point, Utseya down to fifth. Perhaps this order then?brmtaylor.com admin wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2017 3:45 amCremer might feel a bit aggrieved at this - with an ODI average of 31 and a strike rate of 41 he's got Strang, Price, Viljoen and Utseya covered.
P Strang
Price
Cremer
Viljoen
G Flower
Utseya

I have good sources. In the digital age location isn't really so important.Conant wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2017 12:47 pmFor a man who's so far away in USA, you seem to have quite the low down, chap!Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Fri Aug 25, 2017 2:05 amHammy? Re: Ranking Zimbabwe's Match-Winners
Getting back to the subject of the thread. The data I have provided sheds light, but doesn't tell anyone they don't already know. Unless your name is pariah or hhm. Then you would realize Shakib has won more matches than Ashraful, and that Hammy or Chigs, as good as they are, are only marginally better than an Ashraful in terms of match-winning performances.
But, the central premise is that individual player performances lead to wins, rather than the other way around (wins leading to player performances). Jemisi had asked me to run this analysis on all wins, not just the ones against top 8 sides. But, the problem with that is that MWPs against Kenya or Uganda or the UAE can't be equated with those against Australia or India. It would only give the illusion that a Hamilton, for example, is a bigger match-winner than he really is.
So the next bit of analysis ought to be MWPs in all matches vs to 8 sides, wins and losses...and see which players step up the most against the best sides in world cricket.

Statistically Alistair Campbell had more success as a spinner in ODIs than Prosper Utseya, better average and strike rate.

Statistically my left testicle probably had a better chance of taking a wicket than Utseya.

No, it would tell you who wins the big games and who prevents us losing to minnows.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2017 7:59 pmGetting back to the subject of the thread.
