Must have become a beer brewer in retirement?
Your guess is almost right about that. May be you should get on to one of those spice rum sessions and find out who he is to get this point :D

Else, it could be a case of someone like eugene answering this now, and it would be like the "hidden-in-the-middle-order-white-cricketer" treatise made famous here. Hamilton Jemisi, Regis foreignfield, Tarisai zimlover and Vusi Jaybro would have sacrificed their clues in the top order and created all the groundwork necessary for Craig eugene or Sean Ming in the middle order to easily get their point...

Right, time to reveal the answer here I think. Looks like this one was a bit too difficult. And even I stumbled upon this bit of information recently.

The man in picture is Gordon Den, who played FC cricket for Rhodesia and Eastern Province: http://www.espncricinfo.com/zimbabwe/co ... 55370.html

83 FC wickets at an average of 28, as a left arm pacer. Quite useful. Here's a story of one of his best matches: http://www.stgeorgespark.nmmu.ac.za/con ... =local_012

He made a name for himself as a Brew Master. Apparently, one of the most sought after in the world. Take a look at this old article (2002): http://archives.digitaltoday.in/busines ... eople.html

So, the final part of the jigsaw. Gordon is the son of Alexander Den, also a former Rhodesia cricketer, who happens to be the father in law of Rory Ervine. That makes Gordon Den a brother in law of Rory Ervine, and hence, uncle of the Ervines of this generation - Sean, Craig and Ryan.

OK, a clue: This young guy's father has won us more than a match, that too overseas.

Nope. Let us say this kid's father was more of a shorter format guy.

    No, not him either.

Clues so far: Proven overseas match winner, shorter format specialist.

Additional (probably clinching) clue: He was lucky to play the game given the mishap he had to endure at a young age.
