Plenty of fast bowlers are used in short spells

You would know this if you watched cricket
If you think Bruce is a fast bowler then you won't get my point.

Look, the point here is guys have commented on him and his pace. Going on that and his very young age, I question his workload, particularly compared to guys like Tawanda Mupariwa and Tinashe Panyangara who bowl very long tight and destructive spells in the Logan Cup. It's rare for a new ball bowler to disappear in a FC match after just one or two spells with the ball.

I used to say that about Meth in the Logan Cup too remember. If wickets didn't fall fast, teams would score big against the Tuskers until the 2nd new ball. Which is why I questioned why Wayne James/Streak's solution was to bowl Ncube and Mpofu after to compensate. If you notice, the same is happening with Bruce. "Lesser" bowlers are putting in longer shifts. It's not the responsibility of a new ball to make you competitive.

So is it a uqestion of his fitness/natural stamina, or developing skills with how to use an ageing ball.

NB: Medium is just medium. Not Fast/medium or medium/fast. Is he faster than equally(?) big Andrew Symonds/Hamilton Masakadza?

James Bruce barely has any gas as far as I remember. He is more like Nathan Waller or Mupariwa. Mupariwa was discarded for being too slow yet he was the fastest to 50 wickets. Bruce can bat tho. Major advantage

So another Prince Masvaure or a Gary Brent(the older slower one)?

NB: When you're ZIM's fastest ever to 50 wickets in ODIs there are no advantages close to edging that. :D

If he's half as good as Gary Brent then we have a very handy player here

I’m guessing Bruce has picked up an injury as he hasn’t bowled yet

Shame this match was robbed of so many players would have been great to see these sides full strength taking on each other

Same story for Rhinos strong squad but always depleted for one reason or another

I'm just going to float the idea that the B-Train has been pulled out of this match and drafted into the Test squad on the back of his world class all-round performances.

Full steam ahead!

Okay I'm a Mutizwa fan but I think he is just going about it all worng in this game he is currently on 14 runs from 71 balls which is very slow for a team which is looking to put up a total they can defend to win the game. Is he a one dimensional player? He seriously needs to step up cos at this rate he is just wasting a lot of time for the team.
