Barney was more AC than Craig
Looks solid, but I know what you mean. Has a bit of AC about him doesn't he.
Would have fitted in lovely right now
It’s a shame he never came back after his falling out with ZC in 2006. I spoke to a young guy who worked for Rogers And he said that what ever went down really burnt him and he would never go back ( this was in 2009 ).

I wonder if he looks back now and regrets it

He did return didn't he? I seem to recall he played some franchise cricket.

You’ve all forgotten that he had a very questionable action. If you think Brian is marginal then you should watch this guy.

Are you thinking of Querl?

I don't remember Meth's action being suspect.

The saddest thing about Barney is that he didn't leave for alternate opportunities (like Ervine or Jarvis) and didn't go overseas for a better future long term, he left, stayed around Harare and to my knowledge became a used car salesman and stayed to that.

That's quite an effort to burn an up and coming international that hard that he gave up the game full stop, no return!

It was pretty dodgy to the naked eye

I also thought you were talking about Querl.

But during ZIM's games in Cricinfo commentary, I recall some comments about his action. I think his effort balls were questionable.

He didn't play that much so someone should still be able to locate them in some of the games.

"Effort balls" and "Keegan Meth" are not two things I freely associate with one another.

Barney Rogers would have gone on to be our greatest ever ODI opener.
