From the little I've seen of him live in international cricket he didn't look like a natural stroke maker, more a nudger and nurdler (nothing wrong with that, per se). From following the Goats over the years I also have the impression that Timmy Maruma, for example, is a more free scoring player in direct comparision and more of a boundary hitter.tawac wrote: ↑Thu Oct 12, 2017 2:35 pmOkay I'm a Mutizwa fan but I think he is just going about it all worng in this game he is currently on 14 runs from 71 balls which is very slow for a team which is looking to put up a total they can defend to win the game. Is he a one dimensional player? He seriously needs to step up cos at this rate he is just wasting a lot of time for the team.

Would it be possible to shed some light on Mutizwa's continued exclusion from the national squads Mr. Ward? Also, any in depth analysis of the young talents Wiliam Mashinge and James Bruce?
Re: [Logan Cup 2017 Round 2] Mountaineers v Rhinos
Bruce isn’t a medium pacer, he’s not any Brett Lee but he’s sharp enough and swings it loads. I know Chibvongodze, works hard it seems but nothing to write home bout yet.

If I had to guess, I would say Bruce would bowl at about 130ish, lively but not express. He hits the deck and can get some extra bounce, but it seems like fitness may be a bit of a worry.

Wadlan is still troubling our batsmen.
I wonder if he would consider becoming eligible for Zimbabwe.

He went on record after his FC debut in 2014 and said he would, but for some reason dissppeared after 2016. To be honest I don't think he's much better than a solid FC player. A bit like Trenchard, if I had to make a comparison. Could never crack the Glamorgan side and he didn't set the world alight for their second XI.
Great to have him around though. He's been in and around professional environments before

Tiripano is doing ok with both bat and bowling. He is surely asking questions. He could be the answer our 8-3 problem. I would play him in the tour match. If he does well he could easily replace Waller.
CHRISTOPHER MPOFU: 'The problem was fear of failure. I used to think that when I played, if I didn't do well in one game, I would lose my place for the next one but now I've let go of that'
Re: [Logan Cup 2017 Round 2] Mountaineers v Rhinos
Tiripano could be a decent choice for number 8 depending on the pitch. Waller hasn't scored big in a while either..so in tests that could be a better option because Waller barely bowls. As for now is he even in the squad? Looks like they backed Mire instead
