Two performances from Bangladesh side made this possible. Congratulations Shakib for a fiery 68 ball 100. It is more becoming a one man show for Bangladesh. Razzak's 5 wicket haul was impressive as well. With the absence of Masrafee, he is main strike bowler for Bangladesh.
we will rise again just need to work with the knowledge now that we have summed up from the two Bangladeshi perfomances and when the lighty is bowling someone shud tell him to keep going and to ball fuller at all times coz they are playing on roads and he ain't that quick to bowl that short and also the wicket was not demanding that..
The team that holds up its nerve and sums up the conditions quickly will always win in this battle we have currently.cricketing brains now I believe are key and hope to see strategic moves in the next game..was well worth taking the afternoon off from work though.
Bangladesh have won this battle but not the war...

I agree, we must learn and adapt. Something we didn't do on this track
I don't think we need to panic after one defeat. As long as we can neutralise Shakib Al Hasan (the world's best allrounder in ODIs) we have a pretty good shot at winning. He is really the difference between the two sides at the moment. Our bowlers (e.g. Jarvis and Cremer) are still young and they will learn. I don't think wholesale changes other than bringing back Vermeulen if he is healthy are going to make a big difference.

I know you're probably correct Tinashce, i find it so frustrating that the side never seems to learn these lessons though.
Why do they so often turn in a super performance, as they did on tuesday, and then follow it up with a really poor one ? it's almost as though they get one win and think that everything is cool, this cricket thing is easy, and turn in a really poor one, as they did today.
What seems to be missing is the ability to slow the game down, think about what's going on, make a new plan if needed and then give it back to the opposition. Maybe i'm being unfair to Taibu, it's just that he is a senior player, an ex-captain, the man has been around and played wwith and against the best, he's now looking like someone who's forgotten that cricket isn't all about 20/20, the shots he played tuesday were inexcusable and his performance today was little better, he was just lucky and lasted longer. The team need him, Masakadza and Price to show the way, show how to behave, so that the less experienced players can relax and do their bit as well.
The future is definitely bright, but lessons on the big stage need to be learned quickly and correctly.
I agree guys, im not going to stand for anyone who has a go at jarvis as he has all the raw tools to become a very good bowler. And today he was just unlucky how many times is he going to be confronted with an opening pair who are going to go for a shot a ball? the answer is hardly ever and by the time he was brought back later on his confidence was shot to bits. He just needs to learn what length to bowl and he will be fine.
The solution is to keep on playing Jarvis and Cremer as they are very talanted cricketers who are improving all the time. Was a bit dissapointed in Price today but hey he is allowed to have a bad match.
But its only one match and all we need to do is regroup and come back hard on saturday. This is Walters chance to prove that he is a good coach by the way he handles the players before the next game.
