Precautionary injury my arse, they’re giving him a game. Good thing.

Really destroys the tempo set by opening bowlers by giving freebies

Why is Muzarabani even playing?
He looks pretty average. I don't understand how a 200cm tall professional athlete is bowling balls at 122kmph. I'm all for giving young players a run but with his attributes he's not ready unless he's getting it up above 140.

Peter Siddle can bowl 140...

Just saw Muzarabani have a word with Kusal Perera after the big hit. Is this the first ever instance of a Zimbabwean bowler not named Price attempting to sledge?

Yeah I agree the reasons don't matter (unless Taylor actually is injured, that would be a worry going forward) for giving him a run. Why not play Murray instead of Waller in the next game?

This should FINALLY be the end of Waller. No one can complain about him not getting proper chances with time to pace his innings. He got a couple of such chances in this series and was woeful. Even the runs he has scored in this series are with some lives given to him as well. Get Musakanda in at 3 for the Afghan series and end Waller's misery please. He can follow the likes of Elton and Vusi to oblivion. Tari at 3 will also give Ervine some breathing space.

Yeah, you can't carry batsmen that are not capable of scoring centuries. Ultimately that's what brought down Matsikenyeri, Sibanda, to some extent Chigumbura - and I think Waller is in that category.

I don't think it's the end of his career though - he has a place as a T20 slogger I think. But in Tests/ODIs I think someone like Musakanda is certainly a more worthy investment now.

---

By the way, why are the commentators getting stuck in to Murray for appealing? He was the only one that appealed and hawk eye showed it was out on the replay.

Yup it was surely out, he should have insisted on a review. I’ve been waiting for you guys to see him at work but they’re not missing a single slow delivery. Indeed it’s time for Tari to replace Waller. Elty is still a better option than Malcom.

How's Murray's batting? Say he played all the matches in this tri-series what do you reckon his batting average would be?

As for the keeping, yeah I've been waiting for Cremer to get one past the edge so we can see how fast his hands are.
