[OD Match 1] Kenya v Zim A

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

Cricinfo Match thread: http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/1134 ... -zimbabwe/

Let us see if some batsmen can make massive scores to attract the national selectors. You never know, If Zhuwao can consistently belt it out of the park against the associates, it is worth picking him for the lowly games in the qualifiers with an eye on the NRR. Especially if Mire continues to fumble.

Hopefully we see some good performances

Vitori has to get a go. After the incumbents he is the seamer most likely to cope in internationals

LOL, we as Zim fans have to follow local games and action on the ground to figure out the whereabouts of our national players...

I agree, Vitori fit and firing with his pace and swing still in tact will add a massive dimension to our attack from the qualifiers point of view. We need him get as much game time before that as possible. And the guy deserves it too for all he has gone through in single-handedly getting it done.

Simply, doesn't want to see "weak team smashers" : failures Chakabva, Chibhabha and Maruma in the playing XI

Disappointed to see performers like Nathan Waller, Tuffy Mupriwa & William Mashinge not in the Zim A squad.

Hope its not raining in Mutare most of Zim sinces to have got some rain after a long dry spell. Will be interesting how the likes of Zhuwawo, Chibhabha go. if anything you want some batsman to get runs in this tour.

Sorry but stuff chibhabha , he will make runs then when the opponent is of a greater challenge will fail. He will get dropped then make runs when it doesn’t matter , repeat the process over and that’s his career. Respect him for helping zim through the very dark times but he’s average and that’s being nice.

Zimbabwe A has won the toss and elected to field first.
Playing XI

Zimbabwe A
Zhuwao, Chamu, Tarisai, Burl, Maruma, Masvaure, Chakabva, WP Masa, Vitori, Mpofu, Ngarava

Hmmm the captain missing from his team. 4 bowlers guessing Chamu, Burl, Masvaure will make up the difference. 5 batsmen and a keeper.
