No Burl, No Vitori guess they are on their way to UAE. Zhuwao the best striker of the ball in the country doesnt get a look in even in the T20s. Sad. Ervine in a T20 team is criminal dont know where our selectors think they are taking us.

Yea I will relent on that, Ervine shouldn't be in the T20 side. He's a good sweeper and decent player of spin, but power hitter he is not

I reckon Ervine playing the t20 is more about not having to pay to fly another guy in for two games

Ervine is not in the best t20 side

Braithwaite Chapungu & Bonapart Mujuru should have been picked instead of Burl and Vitori

True but it's a really really bad look. Ervine and Burl in a t20?

Guys I don't want to be constantly whining but I'm telling you this selection policy of theirs will be the end of Streak and Taibu. You have to be diplomatic and keep domestic players who get paid peanuts but still try so hard happy. Would they have lost anything by sacrificing Burl for Zhuwao for example so that you have a t20 guy who will then just play maybe 1 or 2 ODIs just to balance the equation?

If we fail to qualify they will be shown the door trust me. We all know the behind the scenes politics that happens at ZC. Right now there is probably a group of domestic players not getting picked who are constantly in the chairman's ear talking about how unfair it is. As much I don't agree with it, trust me the race card will be getting used in those convos too.i don't believe Streak is a racist at all ( the guy speaks better Ndebele than most Zimbabweans) but That's just the reality we live in. If we don't manage it and also miss out on the world cup we will just go back to the days of a radical coach like Mangongo coming back. They know BT and Jarvis have signed long term contracts anyway so they can't walk away now.

We have to be very careful here. I mean how exactly is Burl in better form than Zhuwao or even Mutombodzi? It's not a good look. I'm praying we qualify because if we don't I think it will start a very bad cycle of unfortunate events.

I wonder if Wasakadza has also been added to the team seeing as Mpofu is playing in this game.

Which domestic players ?

We’re all getting ‘Cephas happy’ here but honestly he’s had 2 innings of substance in his career and a List A average of 23.

Don’t take too much notice of the t20 side the side picked is an ODI side

Consistent selection is not a bad idea. But the thing is you have to be dynamic and play combinations that produce results. Eg. on a spinning track you add a spinner to the side, for T20 games you can have Raza, Moor batting up the order. Having the same 11 would be suicide.

23 is still a better average than somebody in that team. I was also talking about form. When was the last time PJ had any performance of note? Waller too.. The truth is Mutombodzi and Zhuwao are in good form.

It's not fair to scrutinize some careers then give every excuse in the book for others.. I don't think other teams pick guys because they are "team players" in this day and age. This is exactly where the discontent will come from. Giving certain players long runs and shutting out others

In the Sri Lanka series everyone was praising Waller for his lower order hitting and useful bowling.

Moor is definitely lucky to be there I’ll give you that but Streak has picked his guys and he’s sticking to them long before Zhuwao hit form
