Form does count for something. If Streak and Cremer continue on this path its going to the curtains for us. Just dont see how we can still stick to Burl who failed to get any runs against Kenya yet ignore a guy who is in the form of his life. I just dont see us winning any of the T20s agianst the Afghans and the ODIs are going to be a proper test for us.

The argument for Mutombodzi over Waller is fair but Streak has picked his side for now so you’ll have to live with it.

I believe everyone has valid points when discussing selection. The good thing is there are political interference with selection. The selectors are just choosing who they believe can win them cricket games. Cleary Zhuwao is in better form than Burl and Tari however the coaches obviously see something in these two that Zhuwao doesn’t have. This sort of selection happens all through the world in many different sports. Players like Shane Warne, Mitch marsh, David Warner never had big numbers in domestic cricket but the selectors can see some X factor they believe will succeed in international sport.
Streak has a plan and let’s be patient and see what happens.
As a side when I read Allan butchers book I remember reading how Zhuwao had too many deficiencies to play international cricket. Maybe he has improved on these!

HE really is making some noise so destructive at the top

On a side note how bad are Kenya ?? Can’t thumped by our A team !!!!

Last time we played them in ODI series they took a game off us now they can’t even get close to our A side

I don't remember anyone in Zimbabwe bringing the proverbial door down instead of just knocking on it for selection like this before. One can argue it is just Kenya, but you can only showcase your talent against who you get to play against.

Surely it is just the logistics / money saving measure to not send T20 experts for the T20 series, but I'm just hoping for a last minute Burl injury that necessitates a replacement :)

They cannot overlook Zhuwao in case a replacement is needed now.

Another good knock comes to an end, but these are the kind of knocks that we need precisely.

Meanwhile, Chibhabha...

He needs a shot in the T20, it’s what Zim A is for and he’s put his hand up.
