Afghanistan Series: Predictions

Post by CrimsonAvenger »

What do you feel about the results of this series?

I'm going with a 2-0 loss in T20Is and a 4-1 (or at worst a 3-2) win in the ODIs. The disciplined attack of Jarvis, Chatara and Muzarabani + the X-factor of Vitori must count somewhere.

Keeping in form batsmen like Zhuwao out & sticking with M Waller & Burl..
I hope Streak gets fired after the WC qualifiers

No chance in the t20s.. 3-2 for either team in the ODIs although I suspect it will be Afghanistan who will prosper with this 14 man squad we picked. Not enough depth.

Zimbabwe hopes will depend on how they handle Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Zadran. Irish had early struggle against them, but later they handle them well and won the series 2-1, Paul Stirling showed them the way.

Pacers will get some help under lights, which will be the advantage for Zimbabwe

Zhuwao smashing weak Kenya attack doesn't mean he will be great against quality attacks.

I wonder if they will show Khan’s real age on the stat sheet?

How old do you reckon he is?

I saw a name from the past (Hasan Raza) is a similar case. claims he is only 35 but made his debut for Pakistan in 1996!!

We really need to get runs from somewhere. Our batting just hasnt showed up of late hope they come good some how. By the sound of it I think we will be going by the same 11 that played in Bangladesh. I really hope Wasakadza also did catch the flight to the UAE.

Afghan will win 2-0 in the T20s
And 3-2 in the ODIs could go either way.

Best Zimbabwe T20 Playing XI against Afghans

1) Solomon Mire
2) Tendai Chisoro
3) Hamilton Masakadza
4) Sikandar Raza
5)Peter Moor
6)Malcolm Waller
7) Brendan Taylor (wk)
8)Ryan Burl
9)Graeme Cremer
10)Kyle Jarvis
11) Tendai Chatara

Early Wickets Taylor will go above, else hitters should be given chance first.

Chisoro to open hey. Bold move. The Bully in place of him and that's the XI
