Bravo dismisses CWI's attempts to question players' commitment

http://m.cricbuzz.com/cricket-news/1000 ... commitment
I think that will now well and truly be the end of Dwayne. What a bloody waste.
Both a combination of poor man management from Cameron, Browne and the WICB, but also a lack of foresight from Dwayne Bravo.

Excuses like 'not strong enough yet to play international cricket,' (Bravo) or 'I don't feel like I'm ready for 50 over cricket yet with my action being as it is,' (Narine) and 'I'm dropping out due to personal reasons,' (Pollard) does suggest a lack of commitment, based on the fact that in the time they are supposedly unavailable, they're playing T20 none stop! There is a lack of commitment from these guys, I don't care how they butter it up, but at the same time the WICB have been shocking with their players. When Wavell Hinds was in the administration he was appallingly short in interviews around the time of the India series, 2014.

Which two teams do you want to take the other two spots available for the qualifiers? https://www.icc-cricket.com/media-releases/604943

The six teams with a shot at it are: Kenya, Namibia, Nepal, UAE, Canada and Oman

My choices would be Nepal and Namibia - because cricket has a great opportunity to grow there, and they are mostly made of local talent.

Out of the current under 19's, they have two cricketers who look promising; that's all. Gerhard Lottering and the wicket keeper Louwrens are two good players. Namibia have even less depth in their ranks than the Zimbabweans so I doubt they will ever really kick start.

They have a good policy of introducing younger players which I think is great, however they aren't good enough.
In years gone by, Synyman, Koetze brothers, Kuelder, Van Schoor and a few others really showed why they were good cricketers.
The Scholtz brother have been good, and Craig Williams is clearly their best batter, but in terms of pace bowling they have very little at their disposal.
JJ Smuts has a bit of pace as a left armer, and Davison is a strong build who can touch the early 80's, but the rest are not even FC standard. Sarel Burger continues to show why he's probably their best all round player but even he isn't good enough for international standards. Maybe in 20 years or so they could push themselves, but right now, they really really are not there as a nation to compete with Zimbabwe. Probably on par or just below Kenya.

There used to be a fast bowler of Namibia named Klazinga. Don't know where he is these days but their team is strengthen by the return of Christi Viljeon.

They had a very good side around that time but failed to qualify for the World Cup ( can’t renember which year ) since then they’ve really plateaued

2012 T20 WC? or 2015 T20 WC? because in both of those tournaments they did well until it mattered. They are basically SA of Associates. They choke a lot. Snyman is a good batsmen but he's not in the squad and for some reason he started bowling off spin. Van Schoor was a big loss for them but I have heard Breadenkemp is a good player.

Namibia just ripped through an SA state side. Don't know how good the team is but looks pretty bad.
