Wait rashid won't be playing because he'll be with Adelaide for at least 1-2 t20s.
Nabi already back from renegades semi???
If ones out, happy days, if both are we should win for sure.

Re: Afghanistan Series: Predictions
Afghans just have to bat better. And it will only happen when players like Asghar are dropped. Bangladesh went through the same phase where we had no batsman, no fast bowlers (AFG still has Dawlat +/- Hamid), and a couple of decent spinners (Rafique, Razzak, Enamul).afghankhan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2018 1:21 am
Yes atm we have nothing but spinners. Rest are mediocre compared to the best in the world. Maybe a bit harsh, but there is no equivalent of Rashid in batting or fast bowling.
Shahzad has played against same opponents as the rest of the players.
Nabi could have done better if he was pure batsman. Actually he don't like batting in top 4. He sees himself as a lower order batsman.
ATM I don't see a bright world class talent in the senior team. All are bits and pieces players. Even the batsmen.
In the u.19 however there a few that has potential to achieve more than current cricketers like Rahmanullah, Ibrahim, Ikram, Baheer and Darwish Rasooli. Omarzai who smacked 23 ball 60+ against NZ could become very good T20/ODI players.
When all that is said I don't think ZIM has better cricketers than Afghanistan.
But the batting collapse, either top order or middle/lower order, in every game is a problem area for AFG. The current ZIM bowling attack is much more disciplined than the last time they faced AFG. With Jarvis back, there is real penetration.

Re: Afghanistan Series: Predictions
For me Zimbabwe has lacked that one strike bowler up front to dismiss Shahzad early and a class batsman to deal with the Afghan spinners which has cost them 3 series in a row to Afghanistan.
Looking at the last two series the 1st game of each Zimbabwe really should have won so they’re not that far behind Afghanistan, hopefully the inclusion of KJ & BT makes the difference

That's a bold statement considering the fact that you have never won an odi series against Afghanistan. Is this the 4th or 5th attempt?
