The wicket was hard to bat on, lets face it. Coming in as a 23 year old having been brought up on flat Zimbabwean decks is never going to be easy, plus you're facing arguably the best limited overs spinner in the world today in Rashid Khan, and a thinking bowling attack to partner him.

It was (for all observers with a pair of eyes and a brain) always going to spin, yet we played three seamers yet again. The selection of the bowling has been mind boggling. Afghanistan have a side full of bowlers who can change the pace, bowl spin and keep it tight. Our best bowler today was Graeme Cremer, a spin bowler, on a wicket which was spinning...Chisoro had to play, unless he was being saved like Vitori for the ODI's.

Burl showed he has something to work with, he maneuvered the ball better as his innings went on, and Moor at the end showed why he has to bat higher up. Raza is now our Mr dependable, i think it would be fair to conclude.

Overall, a vast improvement from the last game, but our batting once again flopped when we needed it stand to stand tall. Nobody seemed to time anything, even the punches down the ground sounded terrible.

5 out of 10 today, opposed to the 1 out of 10 the other day

Stopped watching after Hamilton and BT got out. Hamilton was looking for the million dollar shot every ball while Taylor never tried anything worthwhile. If these two are in that shape, no point bothering about what others did.

But I still believe this was a good warm up for the ODIs, and we will do well there.

As for T20Is, 7-0 and counting.

I didn’t watch the game, but read the commentary here and two things stick out to me.

Firstly, will every sub continent poster here that signed up post 2013 please friggin learn to stop spelling lose/losing as ‘loose’ or ‘loosing’. Loosing isn’t a word and loose means the players are sluts/don’t care. Media doesn’t get this wrong so neither should you.

Secondly,
We have a real problem with our strike rate.
5 down only for 141? On a small ground? Against Afghanistan? You serious?

You should never struggle to 7 an over with wickets in hand in a t20. That’s the rate expected in 50/50. Eat some meat or something that’s woeful.

I won't read too much in to t20s loss...looking forward to. ODIs...Expecting better performance and a series win..

I would include Murray and Vitori in the side...Sad Murray is unavailable

I signed up in 2009...asides from that I was born in Boston - the City of Champions (although not this past Sunday hehe). But yeah lose/loose...annoying.

But desis tend to fuck other words and phrases up too...or just invent their own. Always funny to hear a brown guy sputtering English. Its the one time I can identify with the white racists, lol. Seriously, how can you fuck English up that badly. Its like the easiest language to learn out of all the languages. Its not like Hindi/Urdu/Bengali that has two T sounds (Westerners are always fucking that up) or Arabic which has 3 (yes, 3) different variant T sounds.

Afghanistan have great T20 Cricket environment, they like to play the shortest format of the game and have all materials required to win in this format.

Zimbabwe Cricket is in dire state, too much inconsistent neither they can face seam movement in green tracks, slowers cutters in sticky tracks, nor they can face in a slow flat tracks
Very slim or no chance for this team in the qualifiers with such a group of average performers.
Won't be surprised if Zimbabwe get smashed by Hong Kong side, their players have lot of hitting ability through Hong Kong Sixes, and through star T20 tournament where legends are taking part, they are differant side now, bowlers are also capable of hitting 140+kph. Among division 2 sides, Zimbabwe may face tough competition from UAE or Nepal side, as both the teams looks favourites to qualify in the two spot.

Really looks amazing, a country which is war hit, always in news with terrorist attacks, disputes regarding presence of US Soldiers, has such a wonderful journey, they don't even have proper stadium to play the game.

😅

I was very diligent not to include yourself, Crimson et all in the rant, who get it right and in general more credible.

It’s this new age brigade starting with STONEMAN following through to Sincere/mamba/robot/pearl and whoever else that butchers it without fail.

These are the guys inboxing girls on Instagram asking to see bobs and vagene because ‘so beautiful angel’.

In fact, I’m pretty sure most of them are all one and the same person.
Would love to have a list of Maeharas IP addresses. Would be revealing.
Stoneman/robot/mamba
Eugene/anti ZCf OutKast
Sloandog/watermelon

Would be very revealing I think!

Not necessarily true. People tend to learn a new language with their mother tongue as reference, so you'll always find strange phrases cropping up. However, that is not an excuse for spelling though.

I wonder what's going on with BT.. really struggling at the moment. How many times has he gotten out playing some kind of sweep since he got back? He has just lost his special rights of going to Kariba with Alex Hales(i think it was him) and co whilst everybody is playing a FC game. Absolute nonsense that. He needs to work just as hard as everybody else.

Raza knew it was all over when he got out. He knew Burl couldn't accelerate. It was so sad actually. There is really no game plan in this setup. They all know they can barely play Rashid Khan but they weren't accelerating against the other guys. I will put it down to poor strategy and team selection.

I also noticed that Chatara gets a few wickets with his full toss. It kind of dips on the batsmen just before it gets to them which then leads to them not getting enough power in the shot. I wonder if that's intentional or just a few lucky breaks.
