I know it's not true judging by the way he plays on the field and so on, but I often feel a lot of the battle lies in the mind games, and we need to get on top of that too. One thing that stood out for me is when he says, "hopefully the crowd will come support us, hopefully we can play well for them."
He needs to be imploring the crowd to come support us, and so should ZC. They need to be out there in the public making a point to get the fans through the get. He should be saying, "We want the fans to come support us, and we want to perform for them. We want to give them a reason to cheer and be happy. This is our turf, so lets own it."

Zimbabwe cricket and it's players could do with a bit more 'arrogance' and 'aggression' in their attitudes, although it's hard to be arrogant and aggressive when you can't back it up on the field

Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and now it seems the Nepalese do it quite well and could open up a workshop for the Zim players
Heck even the Kohlis are up there, talking about how if India didn't believe they could win in SA, there's no point in showing up. True, but past record indicated otherwise at the time.
If the Nepali fans are being vocal, thats good on them! Cricket needs as many loud - even if obnoxious - sides as we can get. But The Nepalese enter this tournament ranked 10th amongst the sides, they should temper their expectations. But I will be rooting for Nepal in all their games (even against my second team AFG, just because I don't want the Afghans to look too good compared to Bangladesh, and an Afghan loss to Nepal would be hilarious).
And I just realized I'm a bit of a prick, lol.

Cephas will be given a chance to open with Mire so Zimbabwe now have their very own ‘bash brothers’ at the top of the order.
Zimbabwe will play 3 seamers and 1 spinner plus ‘so called allrounders’ he mention Raza, Mire & Williams. Has Hamilton given up bowling ?
Described Cephas as a good team man and the squad know him very well and are happy to have him around
Williams has the last screw taken out of his finger tomorrow, Cremer said he’ll be ready for the Group stages which is good.
From what he said this will be the side
Cephas
Mire
Hamilton
BT
Ervine
Raza
Williams / Waller
Cremer
Vitori
Chatara
Jarvis / Blessing

Jarvis ahead of Blessing
If the pitch is spin friendly Chisoro 7th
Re: Graeme Cremer interview
The thing about the mentality issue is that teams like Ireland, Afghanistan etc etc all started to get a bit arrogant towards us probably around 2007 onwards. We didn't crush it. We let them get the better of us, and then we let them beat us not just on the field, but off the field too.
We didn't fight back, and now it seems we don't really want to, and it shows when you lose a series 4-1 against one of these sides. Big teams are just ruthless. Look at what South Africa did to us in that day night test. They 'disrespected' us by asking for a four day test, and we justified it by rolling over in two, not only giving them a, 'we told you so moment', but also us saying, 'yeah, they were right, we could have told you that'

Zimbabwe can't pay back with these club standard players and most important in ZC is financial condition which is in poor state, cricket is fully dependent on money, as talents are now running away and representing other nation with proper salary and sound infrastructure, patriotic teams with zero skills are like Zimbabwe and Kenyazimbos_05 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 01, 2018 5:03 amThe thing about the mentality issue is that teams like Ireland, Afghanistan etc etc all started to get a bit arrogant towards us probably around 2007 onwards. That winning mentality really has never been in that older generation. Think about it. Of all the guys who played in the mid 2000s how many of them appear confident. Whenever we have a team on the ropes we always back off. Just no killer instinct. This is why the likes of Burl or Tari will struggle to get out of a bad patch.. it's just business as usual in this team. We need killers.
This is why I liked the rising stars idea a bit coz they are not surrounded by serial losers and under performers..That mentality and aggression is important.we have already seen 7 of them make a national squad. I would love to see how fiery that pace combo of Mumba Muzarabani and Ngarava can be in those overcast Harare conditions the west Indies gave us hell in. Rabada is very young but he has that venom. I hope we see that in Blessing as he develops.
Imagine being as short as Taibu and having to face a fiery bowler as tall as Blessing Bowling around 145kph(I'm hoping he gets there if he works out just a little bit) in overcast conditions on a green pitch..add Mumba to that and Vitori plus some part time pace from Mire who I saw consistently bowling around 137kph when he started.
I'm tired of playing 2 spinners in hot and dry conditions in Bulawayo to negate fiery pace attacks when we could have our own. On top of that only 3 guys can only play spin in our team and they end up getting playing the sweepshot against Bishoo. Ridiculous... it's time for a change of strategy. A lot of the guys in the setup can play pace much better. Just think of how well Chamu played in the last world cup.
The domino effect it also has is that if your domestic games are played on green pitches eventually people will get better at playing the fast bowlers and we won't be beaten in less than 2 days like what happened in PE.
