Re: The ZC Managing Director Quits
I'm this close to cutting ties with ZC and Zimbabwe as a nation.
30% of the current generation have a brain, the rest are thick as pig shit and follow the nearest loud mouth racist and his rhetoric, stupidly believing it to be factual. Bvute and this joker of a chairman getting the nodd in the elections is evidence of that.
The players playing domestic cricket is a total slap in the face to Streak and co, although some will argue that they just want to play some games.
The players are weak and it winds me up they aren't sticking together for the betterment or their careers. With a change in administration, there will at least be a number of individuals who want to make things right and put their players interests first.
Really am on one today, I need a shag

This is probably the beginning of the real end. Its just hard to understand how the ICC allows this to keep on happening. I guess its difficult for them to do anything if games are still being played. We need to make sure the next election they are voted out. Problem is elections are rarely won by the best candidates especially in Africa. Everyone has their own selfish agenda

Re: The ZC Managing Director Quits
I think the real reason is that without the ICC bailout he knows we will crumble soon. So much was at stake there and apparently the ICC refused. Well thats one problem of not being India's little boys anymore after we voted against them. Might be a big mistake in the long run.
That million dollars we lost by not qualifying was probably going to be used to cover the current financial gaps. It was a devastating loss in the end. Looks like it might be the final nail in the coffin this time around. Not qualifying also gave the ICC no reason to turn us around anytime soon. It might also explain why the board made such an emotional decision to fire everybody and were apparently shouting at players after the game like somebody mentioned a month ago. Too much was at stake to lose that game. Now everything has gone up in smoke. We dont have money for anything. Some games/situations in life you just cant afford to lose and now we will pay for years to come

Re: The ZC Managing Director Quits
Yea that loss is now even more illuminated in the grand scale of things. But, the board I blame. They still haven't taken any responsibility what so ever for the corruption. An inside source has said that those not playing are doing so because they haven't been paid....yet we have others playing. Some men have brains, some have mush where a brain should be. Fucking stick together and don't play!!!!! WHY are they even taking to the field?
Re: The ZC Managing Director Quits
Unfortunately the majority of people, particularly the players, only see cause and effect if it slaps them between the eyes within 12 hours. It’s about to happen and it’s permanent. We will soon see who really likes to play amateur cricket! I would suspect about two dozen people.
The current crop of players and administrators have absolutely no idea of the selfless dedication that it took by a group of talented, capable and respected individuals to put us on the map. They’ve just stood there with their hands out thinking it was easy and is their due, like pretty much every single other thing in this country. There’s no more crying foul and racist because that horse has bolted.
Hasnain bailing off the sinking ship is largely due to him not wanting his reputation tarnished career-wise, but trust me he will be fed up with what he’s seen. I wonder what he’s reported to his bosses about what goes on here?
The ICC are basically scoundrels themselves.
That million was just to share amongst players and administrators as a bonus- 900k for the administrators and 100k for the players
I told you the RS was just window dressing. It’s all anything is here, particulary the laughable grass roots photo shoots. It’s all just a means of keeping the gravy train shunting along. These people are just corrupt thieves. Ain’t no one fixing this, which is why they’re probably looking for a career in politics, oh and the laughable part is they will now have to be addressed as Honourable!!

Re: The ZC Managing Director Quits
OK this looks like the end now. Shocking turn of events especially heading into that WCQ game vs West Indies, who would have thought we'd be here 6 weeks later...!
You can't really blame these players for not getting tough with ZC. 90% of these guys are lucky to be able to play at FC/List A level. The average age of players is probably around 27-28 which is also a bit late to get into some other career - even if the economy were doing well. The average Logan player doesn't much in common with a Taylor or a Cremer to be honest. Its hard for all the players to present a united front when they don't have anything in common to begin with.
All the fault lies squarely with the crooks who have run ZC into the ground.
