I dont count Jarvis as part of the old guard so maybe he would be an option.

What would you guys think of Jarvis as skipper?

At 27, he's one of our youngest and one of the first picked and experienced/worldly by Zim standards.
He would be a great addition and seems very patriotic but we have barely any quality fast bowlers and he’s one we dont want with any extra pressure . He just needs to run in and continue bowling gems
True.
The ideal skipper would be someone coming in at 7 or so like Moor. No distraction In the field. No super long innings and can calm the farm when batting with the tail.

The captaincy debate should begin and end with Brendan Taylor.

Ervine needs to focus solely on his batting at the moment. I fear he may finished after the UAE debacle.

Bowling is dross...

People like him and Malcolm know how to churn centuries in domestic cricket after failures on the international stage and they waltz straight back into the team

Yeh his stats at test and odi level are so average hey .. made test and odi hundreds yet he’s failed ? He’s had a lean patch but overall has been brilliant for zim. Waller is a different story , but the argument for Ervine is 100percent wrong .

 Conant!!
If you can’t make hundreds in our domestic league you’ve got no chance of making them at international level.
