Hoping to see regular game time for Shumba, Madhevere, Roche.
Hoping for a blockbuster season for Mashinge.
Hoping against hope to see Matigimu turn up in one of the squads.
Roche is playing club cricket in Australia.
Hmm, that shows he is serious about his cricket. Exploring all options to play regular cricket that early in his career. But does it affect his Zim scenario? Has he turned his back, or is he just there for a season?

That's why I was shocked when I saw you were hoping for his inclusion in the squads. I thought he'd moved to NZ, though, not Oz

Mire is back in Melbourne playing grade cricket

Scratch him from the season I guess

Doubt he will get the red carpet treatment back into the side like he has done the last 2 times

True. He has been striggling for a long time in ODIs. I guess its part of the deal he struck with Taibu. I think maybe he was around for an extended period of time because of the qualifiers.

He really needs to bowl again otherwise I dont see the difference between him and Chibhabha who also quit bowling. We cant keep on playing somebody because of 1 super innings he played a while back.

What really disappoints me the most about Mire and PJ in the 50 over format is their inability to even score 50s. What you can see about the older generation like Chibhabha is that even though he never scored a century he scored 16 half centuries in 103 games. PJ and Mire only have 6 half centuries and 1 century between them in a combined 83 games.

You will even see that PJ has only scored 4 half centuries and 1 century in his 91 List A games. He looks like he has come good now so I hope he starts scoring at the same rate as the senior players this domestic season.

I’ve got a feeling that’s this is going to be our least successful domestic season yet. ZC seems to have ground to a halt. I’m not seeing any end of year age group tours lined up yet again. Cricketers don’t grow on trees, they need games, top coaching and exposure. Every year we fall further and further behind.

What the flying fuck do they actually do in those offices..? Seriously? Coventry should go and cold call them, to try and catch them off guard to see exactly what tales place. From the outside looking in it looks like sweet fuck all happens.

The offices are usually empty.
They’ve worked out that what with what the administrators earn they simply can’t afford to play any cricket
If they write off to ICC and request that they don’t play cricket for the next ten years and they keep sending 10 bar a year they might just pay back a couple of hundred thousand by 2028. It’s a genius plan.

I spoke to roache last week , he is away for 2 years . He’s keen to play for zim in the future . He’s also living in new Zealand with his gf . His girlfriend shared the post on his Facebook wall. Might be playing club cricket in aus but living in nz you can come across to aus and stay as long as you want as long as you are working .
