Looked like a traditional HSC pitch, but in it early for the bowlers then flattened out nicely
Presuming so anyways
Interesting that Mumba hasn’t played either 50 over game, hopefully he hasn’t pulled up lame

I am told the match has been postponed because our beloved government is having a big congress in Bulawayo this week and they have hogged all the accommodation!CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:17 amEagles v Rhinos: http://www.espncricinfo.com/series/8838 ... ip-2018-19
Tuskers v Mountaineers: ???
As zimfan1 says in the other thread, the second game is postponed - any updates on why can also go here, and may be if and when that game is played, we can come back to this thread to discuss the match![]()

His debut has been a long time coming: here he is back in 2010 when I wasn't even on the scoreboard of the Photo Quiz: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=364&p=23366&hilit=jaure#p23364

Yeah, he debuted on the ZCPQ thread way back in 2010! That picture courtesy Glen Byrom. Jaure and Eddie Byrom played a lot of age group cricket together. And if we observe in that picture, he was a left arm spinner back then and if I remember correctly, Mr. Byrom had glowing reviews of his spinning abilities and mindset at that very early age and had singled him out as the one to watch out for in the future. Not sure when and why the switch to fast bowling happened but we have been hearing about him as a pacer for a while now.foreignfield wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 1:07 pmHis debut has been a long time coming: here he is back in 2010 when I wasn't even on the scoreboard of the Photo Quiz: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=364&p=23366&hilit=jaure#p23364
By the way foreignfield, last week, I happened to stumble upon the question that fetched you your first point, and was shocked to realize it was that late in the thread. If you haven't already checked it, do you remember which cricketer fetched you your first point?

Well, I only found this place in 2011.CrimsonAvenger wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 5:59 pmBy the way foreignfield, last week, I happened to stumble upon the question that fetched you your first point, and was shocked to realize it was that late in the thread. Reginald Nehonde (I had to look that up) -- I think that mini wc you referred to then was some sort of tournament in Botswana? I see that he's now playing for their national side who surprised Namibia in an ICC T20 qualifier last month: https://www.sacricketmag.com/cinderella ... a-victory/
I wonder if there are many Zimbos who've emigrated to Botswana. It's a rather prosperous and stable a country by African standards; is it more difficult to access from Zim legally or illegally than SA?

Yeah, that was the tournament in Botswana. This bit of news is interesting. We now have our guys playing for all kinds of sides like Botswana, Belgium, Namibia, etc. and not just England, Australia and New Zealand.foreignfield wrote: ↑Fri Dec 14, 2018 8:00 pmReginald Nehonde (I had to look that up) -- I think that mini wc you referred to then was some sort of tournament in Botswana?
