Been reading closely but haven’t needed to comment everyone has said my thoughts for me :D same old crap, perfect time to blood some youth and some young exciting talent ... but nope . Regis , Elton , Maruma all given handout games when they are proven failures. Play the kids and build a solid squad for the next 5-8 years . Can’t make the World Cup , what is the point of these fossils.
Yeah can't argue, as I said earlier if these guys do well here they'll be on the plane to Europe where they'll probably go back to stinking it up

Really can’t get my head around this final squad .... honestly it’s a piss take . I would go with this lineup personally , others might disagree but that’s why we are all here . 1. Kamunhukamwe ( youth ) 2. Mire 3 . Ervine 4 . Burl( youth ) 5. Williams 6. Pj ( c) 7. Raza 8. Mavuta ( youth ) 9. Mumba (youth ) 10. Jarvis 11 . Chatara
Favourite playing xi

2. H.Masakadza
3. B.Taylor (c)
4. M.Goodwin
5. S.Williams
6. T.Taibu ( wk )
7. S.Ervine
8. H.Streak
9. A.Blignaut
10. G.Cremer
11.B.Muzarabani

That's clearly the best they could have gone for. But not to be... Could be too much for PJ to keep and captain, but would have been the best XI. Or Murray for Burl if he was available.

Yeh or mire could move down to seven as the finisher and Burl could open either way I’d be happy . Murray would be my first picked for the gloves if we had the option of a full squad and I would just let BT finish his career solely as a batsman . I simply could not put Regis in this team or Richard for that sake as they simply aren’t good enough , Regis seems like a great guy and a awesome team
Man but stats don’t lie and a bloke averaging under 16 with a strike rate in the 50s can’t play short form
Cricket even if he was the best Keeper the game has ever seen. Trying to make jam out of shit with this squad

I’d find room for at least two of Burl, Murray and Myers. The kid made that innings look easy, he’s exactly what we should be looking for. I don’t understand these selectors.
Burl has hung around and doesn’t look like he’s going anywhere, but you dick the other two around and they’ll walk away, they’ve got other options and don’t need to wait for someone to die or retire earning a few hundred bucks a month.

That sounds like a better option than sitting in a country with an unstable government and economy, and also being messed about by your cricket board.

Yeh but he would be making
More in zim no matter what unless he breaks a county side which I highly doubt .

With so much uncertainty in Zim, I don't think it can categorically be said he would make more. There may more periods where ZC can't pay players again, and then what does he do. At least in the UK, there would be pathways for him to stay employed in cricket in many areas and earn a good living whilst giving his family a comfortable lifestyle even if he did not manage to crack a top county side.
