[Match Thread] Tri Series Game 5 | ZIM vs AFG

Post by Kriterion_BD »

The farewell game for Man Mountain, Hamilton Masakadza. I was always the first [and probably harshest] to criticize him, but his presence will be missed up top. This marks the end of an era, because as long as I can remember, Hamilton Masakadza was always present in any ZIM lineup. Best wishes to him in his future endeavors.

This is a good thing for Zimbabwe
Hamilton was far below average and it's time for new players to fight for the opening batting position. ..
BT opening is a bad idea ...
I would hand it to Raza, PJMoor,K-long or Mutumbani with Musakanda in the mix

Well we think that the likes of Taylor, Raza, Williams, Ervine, Jarvis, and Chatara are far below average, but when they are gone, and the K-longs, Mutumbamis, Mashinge's, Jongwe's, Murrays, and others take over we'll be begging for a Masakadza again.

Afghanistan have won the toss and opted to bat

"5.30pm In the context of the series, this might be a dead rubber but for Zimbabwe, it's a chance to give their captain Hamilton Masakadza a perfect farewell as they take on a rampant Afghanistan in Chattogram. Masakadza will retire having played the most T20Is for Zimbabwe. He has missed only four of Zimbabwe's 69 T20Is, all in 2015. He is also their highest run-getter in the format, as Mohammad Isam notes in his preview."

Maruma should have gotten more than one game. CHakabva, Mutombodzi, Burl and Mutumbami won't all fire with the bat now will they?

Chatara has bowled well, and should have played more than 2 games. I hope it's injuries, and not the fact that Ainsley had to be brought in as a solution to no Williams bowling the opening overs. Nonetheless, he's done very well in that role.

All the best to Hamilton Masakadza. You've been a great servant. It's sad and a great pity that you will like your brothers Matsi, Utseya, Elton(?),and Vusi(?) depart having a reputation and game so roundly criticised in the forum.

But from me to you - you've been Zimbabwe's shining light for close to two decades now, and I couldn't be more prouder of a cricketer in this continent! Stand tall and proud next to Makhaya Ntini, our fellow great son of Africa.

U seems too much interested in failures and old wine in new bottle type players. Vusi, Elton, Mpofu , Maruma, Chibhabha, Zhuwao can only help Zimbabwe by following the path of Mire & Masakadza and retire from the game they are seniors for no reason. Mutumbami, Chari, Mutombodzi, Chakavba ..... these three have been getting picked numerous time and are good for nothing.

NEW WAVE OF TALENT IS TO BE BLOWN NOW in form of Madhevere, Shumba, Mayers, Schdendorff.....whose time in under 19 level is over now and needs to be part of A team and senior team

Failures? Picked numerous times and good for nothing?

Compared to who? Not to worry, those are all rhetoric.
