Just the reason why I was wondering why PJ Moor is dropped from the team in the first place?
Zimbabwe should be proud of all their cricketers irrespective of their color. Unless they do that and play a team full on merit, they aren't going anywhere.
An ODI team with the below 11 is actually a formidable unit capable of winning on their day against any team
R Chakabva
P Moor
C Ervine
B Taylor
S Williams
S Raza
R Burl
T Mutombodzi
K Jarvis
C Mpofu
T Chatara
Add to that some good youngsters like Munyonga, Muskanda, Mavuta, Murray, Jackeil and some experienced players like Tiripano, Chigumbura... Zimbabwe have a decent enough team to build on. If only they can be a unit and are managed properly.
You add someone like Blessing Muzrabani, Graeme Cremer, Solomon Mire and it looks even better.

Exactly where he should be batting, has always been good enough and today he showed why he is easily our most destructive batter

Been saying PJ should open for a long time, problem was we had Mire and Hammy stealing the spots.
The whole tour has been mixed emotions. Shows how far we've fallen that we even lost to Singapore. I think a much better side would not have had that happen though, which shows to me that some of these guys are not international standard.
Not sure how Wellington was the only bright spark from this tour when he did nothing. Williams and PJ showed their class, albeit against smaller opposition, but still, you are only as good as what is in front of you and when you've already lost to them, it matters how you respond.
Hopefully we see some serious changes and proper ones. The only other take away from this tour for me really is that Hondo needs to go. We don't have quality backups to Chatara and Jarvis.

Zim A losing a game is not good. But at least they won the series. A Zim player was MoM in each of the four games.
Glad Tony looked alright but there is little cheer is the Singaporean gloom.

And puts to rest his theory that Moor is only a test batsman. I watched PJ as a schoolboy and he could absolutely lace it. I watched a T20 innings if his where he hit 14 six’s. That ability to change gear without playing stupid shots is handy. If you guys recall his problem when he first started was that he was essentially a front foot player and as soon as it got quicker and shorter he struggled. He had that major fallout with Mangongo who thought the cure was to get guys to bowl it short all the time in the nets. That adjustment from schoolboy to men’s cricket took him longer than it should, in my opinion. He practices hard and is a quality young man.
Sam_ahm’s team is probably the team for all formats in reality, and reflects our lack of depth. Chari had that one decent test innings recently.
With the lack of tests it makes you wonder why these 4 day games are necessary. Maybe Mukhulani can use his influence at ICC to just get us playing multiple 50 & 20 over domestic games? To have years of 4 day stuff and not play any long cricket seems a waste.
It will be cheaper, Mukhu, you can save some money
