Jongwe with another 50. Second highest scorer this season after Madziva. Good to see these guys performing again.

The games against the county sides are going to be interesting. I'm hoping no senior players feature. Best chance for fringe players like Jongwe Tari Madziva and Munyonga to show they belong in the senior team.

Ngarava is another guy who low key has been getting things done. His overall bowling average has been below 20 this whole time. Needs to work on a few things. Don't know how quick he is these days because he has bulked up since his u19 days.

Remember the name, Remembrance Nyathi it is. He has taken strong objection at most forumites using him as the Beacon of domestic mediocrity. Very consistent season so far. We need to change our example to Cunningham Ncube, may be..

Munyonga opened today. Interesting to see. Didnt score much but I think everybody is beginning to see where the gap in the national team is

Munyonga honestly looked like he had the good in the brief time I saw of him on tv. Had lovely wrists and worked the ball well down the ground.

Names to keep in mind for our batting future:
. Munyonga
. Burl
. Murray
. Shumba
. Madhevere
. Kamunhukamwe (delighted he’s in the ODI Squad).
. Myers (if he’s sticking around of course).
. PJ Moor (still young enough to be considered a future batter).

Certainly a late bloomer. But could possibly raise the bar a bit higher. Of course, this is me at the keyboard, not someone with 4 Fc tons in my CV. Stats courtesy of cricketarchive. Sorry about the formatting.

Past 2000 FC runs after all those years.

You could say he's shown stamina -- but in reality the fact that a 'batsman' with a FC av. of 21 after ages in the game can still make a Logan Cup side only highlights the dire straits we're in.

Geez, that surely must be one of, if not the weakest batting unit Mashonaland has ever fielded in the Logan Cup, apart from player strikes of course.

Right, I see a few new names. Anyone knows who they are?

Ashley Mufandauya (Eagles)
Rodney Mupfudza (Eagles)
Greg Liebenburg (Rangers)

And guess what, military medium bowler Tanyaradzwa Munyaradzi is back, playing for Rhinos this rime. I thought I read somewhere that moved away from the game?
New Eagles players:

Ashley Mufandauya — born 15 December 2001, Harare. RHB, OB.

Rodney Mupfudza — born 12 August 2001, Harare. RHB, LB.

Tari with a hundred. Great to see. This is against the Rangers so he should push for an even bigger score.
Yep, let's hope he has turned the corner.
I was at the other match, so I didn't see his innings, but the fact that he did not score at a rate of a run a ball suggests he applied himself with much more discipline for a change!

Yes, Jongwe batted very well, plenty of application and discipline. Ngarava was pretty quick at times. He smashed a bouncer into the side of Jongwe's helmet early in his innings, knocking him down and it looked nasty for a moment. Ngarava just turned on his heel and went back to his mark while his more pleasant team-mates moved in to check Jongwe was all right. I know that's supposed to be the way fast bowlers play the game the hard way, but I was disgusted by it. I have always said that cowardly fast bowlers, safe in the knowledge that the batsmen cannot legally do them any physical harm, should not be allowed in cricket to aim at a batsman's head. Concussion can do lasting damage, and Phil Hughes should never be forgotten. That was an avoidable death.
