I am happy to put money towards purchasing a speed gun.

Let’s get organised!

People donate money to fund the Zimbabwe senior soccer team all the time why can’t we put something towards cricket ?
Because ZC will steal it or break it.
They don’t want anything to do with anything they can’t control completely and use it as a weapon to keep people in line. They’re beyond help.

Send a speed-gun to Brent, it will be looked after and put to good use. Give it to ZC and they’ll use it to fine people for driving too fast in the car park and it will be broken by Sunday.

Well for a start you need a speed gun and didn't Kyle Jarvis say the other day that there isn't one in the whole country, which is embarrassing for a full member nation.
Is this actually true?

If so, I did some quick research. Found a website called itsjustcricket. Based in the UK. Sloan can tell us if they are legit. Looks like they have speed guns around 50 quid. If we got in contact with Kyle of the right people, I'd be happy to chip in to get the speed gun or the money in to the right hands to make sure it gets used for what it should be used for.

Unfortunately yes its true we have no speed gun.

I have spotted one on Amazon, this should be a good standard and its multi sport should be good for cricket, its not that expensive.

Lets all chip in we can donate it to some one credible

i have posted the Link.https://www.amazon.com.au/Supido-Person ... 0NFW4QJCF0

A- speed guns vary in quality. Same way the pub breathalysers aren’t suitable for police use.

B- zimlover, stop asking us for cash every post.

That's why I said, it depends on the site. A reputable cricket site would not sell a bad product. What we need is to either speak to reputable people on the ground who have the contacts to source things, and then the money could filter its way to them.

The problem is that with money, someone could misuse it and buy things not intended for.

My brother is 6 ft 7 and bowls around 130 kmh and he’s developing a huge passion for Zim cricket like his legend older brother ( me ) so what I’m saying is , club cricketers here in Perth can even bowl quicker than our test quicks .

Can he qualify for Zim though?

I don't doubt Amazon as reputable, I doubt some of the sellers on there. If there is a need for a product, you don't need the best of the best. You need the product that will do the job and do it well enough to get you in a position to build.

If there is a need for a speed gun, Spartan seems like a reputable cricket brand and if that cricket site is trustworthy, i would not really question 50pound price. Yeah, we could go higher and get something else, but it all depends on what the pool is for people willing to be a part of contributing.
