I am seriously hoping Burl proves me wrong at this stage, I would rather see Shumba

Has Musakanda done enough to cement his place in the squad for now?

I would say yes.

I wouldn't persist with Tiripano for much longer if I'm being honest. I'd genuinely rather see a Jongwe or a Mashinge in the side who might be able to offer a bit more. Can't knock his grit and his self belief, but I think he's now holding up a spot

Ideally I'd like to see them both in. I'd still select Burl for now as he has more experience on the international stage but lads like Shumba and Myers will be hot on his tail

And I know he's got two wickets, but I think this innings is showing me that Rashid Khan is NOT a red ball bowler. Far too inconsistent with both line and length. He also hardly turns his leg break and bowls too fast. Three boundaries in a row in test cricket from a spinner suggests a lack of control and patience.

Excellent LOI bowler but has a long long way to go to prove his metal in test cricket

I will say this again and again Burl is out of depth, he is a Maruma type now
A bit harsh but I get where you're coming from. Hard to defend the guy given he's had some opportunities and failed to capitalise.

I agree with sloandog, there is talent there, but I am struggling to see how he can turn all that potential into runs. I just can't. We barely play any international cricket and our domestic setup is utter garbage. A first class average of 40 in the Logan Cup in 2021 is nothing special considering the lack of quality bowling.

The scary thing is him, Tari and co will be our senior players once Taylor, Ervine, Williams, Raza and Chakabva are gone. You think we're bad now? Wait till Taylor and co are gone and we'll be f***ed.
