Myers, Madhevere, Marumani and Shumba the future of ZimCricket
we've more or less got pace/seam bowling covered, Muzarabani, Ngarava and Nyauchi are the real deal, with better fielding, they would be having way better international stats that they do now. Plus you really have to be an outstanding/promising black cricketer for a county cricket club to sign you up moreless directly from Zimbabwe in the case of Blessing Muzarabani. Taylor , Williams and to some extent Ervine were the successors to great Zimababwean batsmen Flower bros, Campbell etc. But with all three (and Raza) reaching the end of their careers, a vacuum has emerged. Unfortunately unlike these three, most young batsmen lauded on this site Welch, Schadendorf, Balance etc couldn't care less about playing for Zimbabwe and in all honesty, use Zimbabwe and its participation in the U19 Cricket World Cup as a stepping stone to get into England club cricket scene with dreams of eventually playing for England. Once the U19 cricket World Cup is over, these kids suddenly realise that they qualify for a British/ Irish? Dutch passport and bugger off
These players (mostly white former Zim U19 Cricket World Cup players) often become journeymen, with mediocre careers, no IPL, global T20 opportunities. Finally we have a bunch of black batsmen who are genuinely talented and seem to have the mental fortitude to become world-beaters. People will say "don't make this about race", but lets be honest, a young black cricketer is more likely to stick around and play for Him, with an eye on global T20 opportunities and occasional club stints in England/Australia that a white young cricketer. that alone make it worthwhile to invest in the likes of Myers, Shumba, Marumani, Madhevere. Brexit England is trying very hard to reduce its non-white population, so these kids are less likely to get county contracts even if they had Don Bradman stats. So its a win-win, here's hoping for a glorious decade of Zimcricket

^ This! 1000%.
Also I like the ‘brexit england is trying to get rid of its non white population’ lol. Wtf! Makes it sound like ethnic cleansing or something haha. What nonsense!!!! If anything black players are MORE likely to get county gigs considering the efforts for diversity and all that.

I didn't see anything wrong with what he said. He's largely right that a black cricketer is more likely to stick around.
At any rate, the 2020 batch of U-19 cricketers seems to be the best set ZIM have had since 2004.

Racist post. Taylor, Williams, Ervine, Jarvis helped you to win more games than those mediocre Chakabha, Mutumbami, Chari, Chibhava and so on. Now a days, zim team is featured of 7/8 black players. Still you want more?Tinah09 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 6:30 amwe've more or less got pace/seam bowling covered, Muzarabani, Ngarava and Nyauchi are the real deal, with better fielding, they would be having way better international stats that they do now. When I see Chakabha or Mutumbami is picked ahead of Moor/Murray despite being available, I certainly feel that the selection policy is racist.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:16 pmLol ironic when someone calls out a racist whilst being racist themselves.saifulsohel05 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 12:51 pm

For fuck sake will you read the threads. Ryan Murray is in limbo as to committing or not and Moor is in Ireland. They are categorically not available.saifulsohel05 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:39 pmWhen I see Chakabha or Mutumbami is picked ahead of Moor/Murray despite being available, I certainly feel that the selection policy is racist.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 1:16 pmLol ironic when someone calls out a racist whilst being racist themselves.saifulsohel05 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 12:51 pm

Regis and Ritchie are, sadly, the two men who we will have to depend on for a while yet
