Jongwe needs to play in all 3 formats.
Kind has a bit of spunk about him. Not to be underrated in Zimbabwe

Re: 2nd T20I | Zimbabwe V/s Pakistan | Harare
I read this post before going to bed and I was like, "nah, i've heard this excuse about playing more makes us better and I don't buy it. You can't just expect to be better without applying yourself".
I stand by that view.
I am one of those members, only because I had to be up at 4am.
Here I am at 4:52am after having checked the score wondering if I am still asleep and dreaming.
What the heck happened. Only Pakistan can do something like this.
Let's not kid ourselves though. It's great to get the win and credit where it's due, but we still have plenty to learn from this game. The ways. we got out and our ability to rotate the strike need to still be worked on.
In saying that, what a win. No idea how Pakistan screwed this up.

It is clear that Pakistan threw the game.zimbos_05 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 6:54 pmI read this post before going to bed and I was like, "nah, i've heard this excuse about playing more makes us better and I don't buy it. You can't just expect to be better without applying yourself".

How could you watch it and honestly say Pakistan’s top order were trying?
Tapping 3/4 singles an over for the first ten. Cmon.

Wait a minute. I can’t believe we won. Just checking in now. Unbelievable . I didn’t even watch the second innings
Re: 2nd T20I | Zimbabwe V/s Pakistan | Harare
I haven't watched their innings yet, but who are we blaming for this then. Streak? Campbell? Willo?
Re: 2nd T20I | Zimbabwe V/s Pakistan | Harare
I think Chikabva's runout was insane too, the way he basically single handedly forced the Pakistani's to BBQ eachother was brilliant
The ground fielding in particular was absolutely phenomenal this game, Jongwe and Madhevere seemed to be so up for it in the field and it really rubbed off on everyone else and led to all half chances in the field being taken. Was an absolute pleasure to watch

Re: 2nd T20I | Zimbabwe V/s Pakistan | Harare
Gorgeous and historic day for Zimbabwe.
After first meagre 118 for 9 in first innings, I honestly thought Pakistan would finish up in less than an hour.
Then, little by little, Pak runrate never increased: it was steadily below 5.
To be frank I began believing in a win only in the twentieth over.
It seemed too beautiful to trust what I was watching.
Well done Zimbabwe.
Recent events: a draw with SL, win in ODI in PAK, a win in Test against Afghanistan, and now a consistent win in T20 against Pakistan.
This criocket nation is returning, little by little where it belongs.
Forza Zimbabwe!

I think Pakistan were simply complacent and overconfident. They thought no hurry, let's take this easy, and with Zimbabwe bowling and fielding so well they didn't realize the required run rate was mounting until it was too late. Neither did I, until I suddenly realized they needed 40 off the last four overs! Then it was a case of Panik-stan as they were suddenly in a situation they had never expected.zimbos_05 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 6:54 pmI read this post before going to bed and I was like, "nah, i've heard this excuse about playing more makes us better and I don't buy it.
