Mate, a little harsh. He hasn't even been given full quota in either match. Not his mistake either. He's done well and has a role. Of course I wouldn't pick him for ODIs or tests, but this format suits him. He's an excellent fielder too.
The thing for me, he is the specialist spinner. So it's all well and good if he has a low economy, but if he is not a wicket taking option, then he is a wasted bowler. You can't only be a bowler who keeps runs down and not take wickets because then your overs become overs where the opposition can relax or get in to a groove. You want to always be looking at building pressure or creating options.
They said they will pick the team on form in the T20 comp. Ainsley got wickets and had a decent economy. On that form, he deserved his shot.
A tall young left arm quick like him should be given a proper run
How many chances? He got clobbered in Netherlands as well. I think he's not the one. Brad Evans should be tried if he is available or Jakiel or someone.
Don't think many people will agree with the Ngarava criticism. He can be a bit inconsistent but he's young, talented and this is the format to give people like him time. He will be a great player for Zim in the future.
Evans realistically is fighting for Jongwe/Tiripano's place.
I agree. In fact, Ngarava is one of our better bowlers now. He has improved a lot over the last couple of years. He is not the same bowler he was two years ago.
