I do not know why I am so drawn towards Zimbabwe cricket, probably it was somewhere in 2002 or 2003 that I started following Zimbabwe cricket and around that period they were players who truly deserved more than they were paid and every once in a while they would put on gutsy performances. It is so draining and depressing to see the state of cricket in Zimbabwe at the present and it takes a lot out of you to watch these games. And these players honestly deserve nothing than a penny.

The Shumba drop really gave the game away. Really responsible for every run since then.

Was wondering... for Maruma to get picked in the XI, this is the current unavailability status right?

Middle order:
Williams (isolation)
Ervine (isolation)
Raza (injury)
Burl (injury)
Musakanda (injury?)
Moor (absence)
Wes (yet to show worth in longer format)

BT, Regis, Kaia, Myers and Shumba are also ahead of him and are already picked anyway.

And for Kaitano to get picked:

Opening:
Kasuza (injury, could slide down pecking order soon too)
Prince (injury or genuinely lower down the pecking order now?)
Chari(genuinely lower down the pecking order now)

So, we are in a really bad state in terms of bench strength and we know that already, but this is massive bad luck to be so badly hit. Or stupidity, if Williams and Ervine did not follow the protocols.

Musakanda & Masvaure confirmed as dropped, not injured.

It doesn't get said enough but BT is a truly terrible captain. Awful bowling combos yesterday and today it looks like he has completely given up marshalling the troops. Same happened against Pakistan when Regis visibly took over for a while when BT was sulking lol.

A poor captain and a poor coach - it's no surprise that we have performed like this really.

I really love Blessing.
But that might mean ICC reprimand though :(

Absolutely agree on that, his body language is not really suggestive of someone who is tasked with marshaling the troops. Few years ago, he was really lively and expressive behind the stumps but these days his demeanor is very resigned and can be likened to a defeatist.
