I'll give you the 2nd ODI, but the 3rd game, what could be called "ascendency" was only for about 40% of the game (80% of the first innings). Also posting 300 on a 300-325 par pitch isn't really ascendency, its just being at or slightly below par. At no point was Bangladesh in trouble with the chase of 300.

If you consider the wayward schoolboy bowling, and poor captaincy then BD were also given the 3rd ODI on a plate. It was more bowling madness than batting brilliance. If we had bowled that 4th/5th stump line this would have been a tighter contest.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 6:52 amI'll give you the 2nd ODI, but the 3rd game, what could be called "ascendency" was only for about 40% of the game (80% of the first innings). Surely jobs are on the line if Zim don't win a game against Bangladesh. The board has made it known in the past they expect results against the lower teams/associates. Whitewashed at home against Bangladesh is not a good look.

Well if you consider the schoolboy batting the first ODI was also handed over on a plate. As were the 16 previous ODIs going back to 2014. Its highly unlikely a coin will land on heads 19 times in a row.

Don't how those petitions with signatures work but we seriously need one to get the coaches out! Somehow they have to know our concerns. The whole board reports to know one now after that SRC debacle that has now given them the right to go on their merry way.

Find out when the contracts are up is the first start.
Can’t see anything happening until the organic ending f their contracts.

Zimbabwe should look for someone like Chandika Hathurusingha who is known for lifting a deplted side. New South Wales, Sydney Thunders and he has also played a huge role in setting present Bangladesh Side.
Hathurusingha pairing up with Jarvis as bowling coach role, will be a positive move

Do remember that Hondo's association with the coaching setup predates Rajput. So, no matter what they do with the head coach, they can continue to accommodate Hondo and Matsi (which seems to be their priority
)

Re: The future of the coaching staff
I believe in coaching terms, it’s not considered a good idea having a player who was recently your team mate as a coach. Hard to have that right respect.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 4:40 amZimbabwe should look for someone like Chandika Hathurusingha who is known for lifting a deplted side. I’d rather Gary Brent.
