Still a part of WC, if those SUBSEQUENT games are removed by ICC,then Bangladesh can never be the part of T20 World Cup as they fails to be among Top 9 side, and in upcoming 2021 WC even, Afghans qualified directly in Super 12 and BD are in those qualifying games, getting smashed from part time players is some kind of bashing. Failure in qualifier means out of WCKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 12:51 amThis was a qualifier tournament as major sides like Australia England weren't in it. It was qualifier for the SUBSEQUENT world T20.
Good to see you admit Canada & Hongkong better then Bangladesh by applying your logic as both of them beaten BD in World Cups
Hong Kong beat full strength Bangladesh in World Cup

No problem with ICC's qualification pathway...T20 is the least prestigious format. You can't have a serious ICC event without England or Australia. If they aren't there, it can't be considered a WC except by fools.

Still Honkong & Canada have better records against BD in two respective world cups ICC Rankings of BD or their win / loss ratio in any format doesn't seems they find any format as prestigious. To play with Australia or England, lower ranked sides needs to come with such standards and achieve the requirements. Dolts can't understand that.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 4:19 amQualifiers are qualifiers.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 3:14 am

Afghans have neck to neck overall records against BD across all formats, arguing by dragging few ICC events doesn't makes it as stats do matter. A team playing test cricket for last 21 years getting smashed by 2 yrs old full member side in test match is something massive

Right, but Bangladesh still has a better record in ICC events vs Afghanistan than India/Pakistan does against Bangladesh. Therefore the gap between BD-AFG is wider than the gap between BD-IND/PAK. Of course stats matter...that is the statistic that matters.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 4:26 am

Except 2007 & 1999, BD has achieved nothing against India/Pak in ICC Events. If one win mattered then by now Kenya would have claimed themselves as Champions of ICC Events.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 4:47 amRight, but Bangladesh still has a better record in ICC events vs Afghanistan than India/Pakistan does against Bangladesh. Sure, but even worse for Afghans, no wins vs India/Pak/BD in any ICC event despite playing in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2019. Bangladesh in their first 6 ICC events had beaten Pakistan, India, and South Africa. And not in any bullshit qualifying round either.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 4:49 am

Bangladesh aren't stopping Kenya from joining World Cup League 2.

Every format has equal importance, if a team cant play it, doesn't mean it has no importance, its their lack of skills that they cant fight in that format with others. T20 is modern form the financial factor of every cricket board and has got more audience then odisKriterion_BD wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:41 amThats right T20, not ODI. Mickey mouse cricket. BD got defeated by Afghans in Test that doesn't makes test cricket useles and because of grace of ICC and popularity of cricket, finance factor in subcontinent, Bangladesh able to take part in Test Championship else there is least or no differance between them Zim, Afghan or Ireland for not getting chance in the championship.

1) franchise T20 cricket has the $$$ over bilateral ODI. ODI world cup is still > T20 in both money and importance.Rajkumar Sharma wrote: ↑Mon Jul 26, 2021 8:48 am

2) Never said Tests aren't important. And I never will.
3) Gap between WTC sides (Bangladesh) and ZIM/IRE/AFG is still substantial. Gap between BD and ZIM/IRE/AFG is as big as that between Top 4 teams and bottom 5 in WTC.
4) if you are really into tiers there should be 3 tiers in the top 12 Test teams. Top 4, next 5, bottom 3. NZ are champions and would probably only draw 1-1 or 0-0 against bottom ranked BD in Bangladesh.
But since 3 tiers is both ridiculous and impractical, 9-3 is the only feasible system and that's why the ICC chose it.
