Re: Missing members thread
Eventually I'll leave the forum myself.
When Taylor and Williams retire I'll lose a special connection to an era in which I grew up, outside of ZC. They debuted when cricket was at its best in my opinion around the world. You had better commentators, better standards in test cricket and as a young bloke 2003-2008 were my golden years of watching cricket.
I was going to leave the forum when Taylor retired or Sean, but having seen Wez and Myers debut and Ryan Burl start to click, ZC has become interesting to follow again. If Maruma or Nyumbu were the next in line I'd be gone, but thankfully that's not the case

I can see myself taper off too after the fab 4 go. Won’t say I’ll leave for good but I’ll be a ‘wonder how zim are do in?’ Every so often. Maybe then I’ll qualify as a modsloandog wrote: ↑Fri Jul 30, 2021 12:50 pmEventually I'll leave the forum myself.

Unless of course the diaspora come back and the team is good.
As for topic at hand
Googly is a big miss. I reckon him and secretzimbo would have good chats as they would derive their opinions from the common source and perspective (white northern Hararians).
Bay Haus was a decent poster.
As was the insider dude Saint something.
There are a few others who came and went.

Thanks for the kudos.CholeZimbo wrote: ↑Thu Jul 22, 2021 3:26 pmThis is actually my 10th year on this forum. I remember how I bumped into it in 2011, searching for the official ZC website. Spent 5 years just coming on as a guest before registering in 2016. I'd say the ease of internet access has brought a lot of Shit out of touch posters on this forum. The results have made it really tough. It used to be the hope of good performances to a time when we started demanding wins. Right now, the team is very badly coached. Finances do not seem a major problem these days. A lot of cricket is being played and that is no longer a problem either.

I think myself and the likes of secretzimbo, came in as the new generation in the mid 2010s as posters.![]()

I remember before the youtube livestreams this was my go to site for terrible links to watch the games, with a lot of buffering etc. I think the next stage for this forum is to move into a space where we are influential even to a small extent in demanding accountability from ZC, hence we need a striking platform. Get people on the ground who will eventually one day get us to some communication with ZC. I believe everyone here is a bit obsessed with ZC such that you cannot seem to ignore it. We just need to get this team winning games soon, getting simple things right. Rather lose having done the basics right and learning from previous mistakes.
Why does it feel though you have been more prominent the last 6 months?

Re: Missing members thread
I have always liked zimdan, although he isn't really missing, he just makes sporadic appearances.
