They will just get redeployed to under 19s and what not and reappear as franchise coaches.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:13 pmWorth remembering that the coaches aren't allowed to speak to the media without ZC permission and preview. So would ZC really have let Rajput put out that defensive interview if they had any intention of replacing him in a couple of weeks? Seems almost certain that they want him to stay based on that interview.
He hasn't upset a single person in ZC in three years. He's a yes man. He's boring. He's exactly what ZC love. He hasn't pissed off a single board member or player in an entire three years. When was the last time a Zimbabwe head coach managed that? Never?
I think he's shit though. That record of 30 ODI's and only 4 victories (ALL against the UAE) is appalling.
It's interesting that ZC and Hammy are willing to throw their best mates - Matsi & Hondo - under the bus rather than Rajput. It's all a bit strange.

Jarvis and Utseya will be running the under 19s. Franchise would be ok I think. No problems there as both ripped it up domestically it's the interactional stats that were average.ZIMDOGGY wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:36 pmThey will just get redeployed to under 19s and what not and reappear as franchise coaches.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 6:13 pmWorth remembering that the coaches aren't allowed to speak to the media without ZC permission and preview. Hence why you need someone who has been there and done it before. Someone to galvanise madhevere to get his 50s into 100s and myers to score big like we know he had potential to

Yep, someone who can hopefully lift them to a higher level with advanced coaching techniques.Donald wrote: ↑Wed Aug 04, 2021 8:34 pmJarvis and Utseya will be running the under 19s. These talented bunch of kids really need qualified and competent coaches around them to polish their game and turn them into match-winners. Myers had starts in all those games and somehow he failed to kick on and what were the coaches doing about that? The kid can score runs with ease but he kind of lose his way by poor shot selections. Myers, Madhevere, Maurmani, Shumba and Muzarabani need good coaches around them to better their games which Matsi and co can not do.

We need someone who stays in Zimbabwe to do the job let’s hope Jarvis develops quickly enough to take the reins of becoming an international bowling coach.lobsang wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:49 amThese talented bunch of kids really need qualified and competent coaches around them to polish their game and turn them into match-winners. Some one like Vusi would not be a bad pick for a Batting coach, we cannot continue to fantasise about a someone from another country to come and be a batting coach.
If we need additional input there is plenty of consultants in South Africa.

William Mashinge has told me very honestly that Stuart Matsikinyeri is a really hard working, able batting coach. Will's a top bloke and he's been really honest about ZC

Re: The future of the coaching staff
He scored 98* two weeks ago and he played some of the best cover drives I've ever seen. He's an unreal batter against top bowling, but against the pie throwers he's not got a clue. His bowling, well, let's leave it there
