Besides the squads, let's discuss our chances. Anyone with insight into the Ireland team, or anyone who followed their SA series closely? Who do we need to look out for? These guys beat SA recently.

I believe right now if our best team plays a few games together, we can sneak in victories vs the likes of SA and Sri Lanka.

Ok my ODI XI.

Chakabva
Marumani
Ervine
Taylor
Madhevere
Williams (c)
Raza
Burl
Masakadza
Muzarabani
Chatara

Wow, selection headache, this is good. If we lose to Ireland, with our best squad, I'm taking a break for my sanity.
their batting is stronger suit: tector, balbirnie, paul stirling and curtis campher whos`s a south african are some of the better guys. Bowling isnt too good though imo

Ireland one won match, another rained off, and trounced in the third ODI. In the T20 series they were trounced in all three and looked really awful. Ireland really not a good side at all, we should win the series comfortably with our full squad. Anything less is a big underachievement.

Smaller budget than Zim, fewer fixtures than Zim, a weaker domestic set up than Zim, and less player depth than Zim.

Ervine and Williams must be hidden somewhere. Don't want to hear that one of them got injured in training or something or got Covid.

Nothing more then targeting wins in all 3 odis against Ireland in this Super League matches, with 40 points in all, Zim will rightly be placed at 5/6 along with Pakistan or Windies in the super league table, which will be a huge beneficial for Zim at the tail end of the league.

An opportunity need to be grasped to avoid qualifiers headache
Please insert the scorecard for the game Ireland beat SA recently.
Dockrell, Simi Singh, McBrine were the chief destroyers against Proteas. In the whole series spinners got help from the tracks. Zim batsman are better then Proteas in handling spin. This full strength Zim can make it 3-0 in Ireland

Worth noting in terms of pitches that that series was played in the middle of a long dry heatwave.

By comparison It’s done nothing but rain in the U.K./Ireland ever since then from what I’ve read.

It's all about balancing the batting lineup now. I'm also really happy the T20s are up first so that we can see who is in form and who adjusts to the conditions faster.

I wonder if they will stick to picking the kids for the T20s. Interesting few weeks coming up. A lot on the line for both teams. Knowing how things work out for us watch Zim pull off a masterclass and all our coaches getting rewarded with extensions.

Yeah hey, rain might ruin our chances at these points

Apparently Taylor and raza have been left out of the 20 20 squad to play Ireland. They will however be in the One day matches.

I can understand Raza as he has been awful but Taylor??

Apparently both players are not very happy. Raza has been awful in this format but I wonder regarding the decision to omit Taylor. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

ODIs is going to be 2-1 to either side. I'll probably be able to tell after the first ODI. Will be a welcome 20 points for whichever side.

T20Is, also gonna be 3-2 going either way. Just very evenly matched teams.

Idk about the Scotland series or how strong they are...ZIM will probably win that series.

I really don't mind this to be honest. T20s are where the kids can learn to play without the senior players. They did ok last time out. I think they can introduce a policy where only 2 of the big 4 can play in T20s at the same time. There is a good chance that all of them will retire in 2023. We have to start preparing now
