Zimbabwe Emerging vs Namibia
Re: Zimbabwe Emerging vs Namibia
We should win some series. zim cricketers should come t20 leagues contract like Ipl, psl league tournament. other players should come interest to play for national side
Re: Zimbabwe Emerging vs Namibia
Emmanuel bawa is a player like garethchirawu. but some of his shots looks so good. don't hype him so much

From what I've heard and going off the fact he scored a ton in the last Under 19 CWC, he's a special special player. He'll develop into an even better player with the exposure in the UK.
surely this type of talent drain can be stopped by the icc. Kinda fucked if everyones just tryna go england

what do you mean about time running out for byrom? Isnt he still hella youngsloandog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:17 pmAs I've said before, I've got it on pretty good authority that Nick Welch has every intention, at some stage in the next 3 years, to make himself available for Zimbabwe. Coupled with (hopefully) Ryan Murray signing with a franchise next year and the emergence of the current crop of youngsters, I don't feel too aggrieved about Bawa in that there's still a lot of time for him to commit to Zim. The clock is ticking for Byrom however

Completely agree with the part about cricketers going over to the UK at a young age. It gives them a level of cricket Zim can't offer and develops them nicely. I have hopes for this generation of cricketers. Welch, Evans, Schadendorf etc that they will come back to play for Zim and they won't be lost forever. I feel in the past a lot of these players would've taken a county gig and just stuck there. Something feels different these past few years though I feel like a lot of players playing cricket abroad are willing and/or looking to play for Zim. Gives me hope for the futuresloandog wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:15 pmI actually don't mind players going over to the UK at his age and developing their game. England cricket facilities are probably the best in the world and ZC don't have to pay anything for it. Where my issue lies is when they don't come back and they get accustomed to the lifestyle over here. He's still young, but I wager he'll do what Muyeye did and seek some kind of political asylum.

He's had an absolutely dreadful season. Out of contract in a few months and will need to decide if he wants to join a franchise and give Zim a go. Think he will struggle to get another contract in England unless he finds form in the last chunk of county matches. B Curran & Melton out of contract too. Interesting to see what they do.slcricfan1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 3:41 pmwhat do you mean about time running out for byrom? Byrom is complicated though because he has an Irish passport, so Ireland could also be another option for him.

I was referring to his Irish ancestory in my earlier post. He has options and when I say the clock is ticking, I'm referring to our clock, as in getting him back. Yes he's out of contract but he's a serious player and could easily go to a smaller county like Leicestshire or Derbyshire.
I doubt we'll ever see Byrom represent Zimbabwe, although Schardendorff and Nick Welch I honestly believe could be seen in the red a few years from now.
Ben Curran, meh, maybe. He tore Ben stokes apart in a royal London game last month, so I reckon he'll get another contract

I don't think it's solid at all. There's potential there, yes, and there's certainly more natural talent than what we've seen over the past 12 years or so, but we're still very delicate. We are heavily dependant on Taylor, Ervine and Williams stillslcricfan1 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 18, 2021 4:08 pmisnt ben curran alright though, he did okay in loi game.
