Watch-list of U.K.-based Zimbos;

Ben Curran (Northants, contract expires this year)
Dane Schadendorf (Notts)
Nick Welch (Leics)
Eddie Byrom (Somerset, contract expires this year)
Dustin Melton (Derby, contract expires this year)
Shane Snater (Essex & Netherlands - seems pretty happy playing for them)
Ryan Higgins (Gloucs. He’s the best of the lot. Should play for England)
Gary Ballance (lol no chance)
Tawanda Muyeye (Kent. Absolutely zero chance - burnt all bridges with Zim)

We’ve then got PJ in Ireland. Alistair Frost has popped up in club cricket and in Ireland. Brad Evans club cricket but coming back for Logan Cup apparently.
Ryan Murray has supposedly signed with a franchise already. Has he played club cricket recently, anyone know?
If Anyone ask me to select a player who likes to see in zim colour i definitely say Ryan higgins. A handy batsman and bowler. Seriously very very talented player, i wonder why he is not selected in the England squad yet.
Most probably there is no chance to get him in the zim colour :(

How does Snater qualify for Holland
this isnt relevant but sth intresting i found was he is jason roys cousin
Find it odd how players like Snater and Wiese can just switch allegiances with the click of a finger.
Even Van Der Merwe did it after leaving South African cricket. He's past his best massively by the way

Higgins will never play for Zimbabwe  it's like asking Brydon Carse to open the bowling for us :)

Haha yep. Higgins is excellent. One of the best players on the county circuit. He's England-qualified as well so I can't believe he hasn't been called up this year in Stokes' absence or in that weird third-choice squad England had to field when everyone had Covid a month or two back.

No idea how Snater qualified for the Dutch btw. Must be a family link, although his name sounds pretty English

We need bowlers more than batsmen at the moment. Melton might be worth a go. Might be a better version of Chivanga. Blessing desperately needs a partner just as good as him. Ngarava is still 50/50 for me

Jayden Schardendorff is interested in playing for Zim from what I hear. May see him in Zim this winter.

Curran will get another contract, finished the season well.
What has Jayden been up to for the past couple of years? Has he been playing at a good level? I thought he went to Australia but apparently he's in the UK with his bro now?

He has had a shocker in the UK this season. Injured as well so not bowling.

As I've said before, I've got it on pretty good authority that Nick Welch has every intention, at some stage in the next 3 years, to make himself available for Zimbabwe. Coupled with (hopefully) Ryan Murray signing with a franchise next year and the emergence of the current crop of youngsters, I don't feel too aggrieved about Bawa in that there's still a lot of time for him to commit to Zim. The clock is ticking for Byrom however
I know Nick's dad. Zim is only an option if his gig in the UK fails. They don't trust the admin and feel the whole system is broken.

We may see Nick in Zim colours one day but it will only be because he could not crack it in the UK. He is injured at the moment and only has 1 year left on his contract, running out of time. He didn't get a chance in the FC or T20 stuff, got a go in the 50 over comp and did he knee and think he will be out for the season.
Just wondering if there's no trust in the system. Why is Matthew out with the emerging team? That's also interesting because I've heard that Nick would be interested in playing for Zim. He was in the domestic system last year and I'm pretty sure will be again this year
