If only cricket had such foresight! Unfortunately looks like it might be dry for an hour or two this morning so they'll start a 50-over game....but the forecast is rain for most of the rest of the day

Say the game goes ahead, looks like bowling first would be tempting, but we have recently done well setting targets, thoughts?

Probably bowl first considering DLSCholeZimbo wrote: ↑Fri Sep 10, 2021 8:33 amSay the game goes ahead, looks like bowling first would be tempting, but we have recently done well setting targets, thoughts?
Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Bowl first. Get Stirling out quickly. Keep the run rate down. That should be the plan. If we have to bat first then we need a BT masterclass because Stirling we be a handful for a DLS score. We need to be aiming for 290+
Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Rain is expected to come surely at around 4 Pm today ..game starts at 10.30 ..so 3.5 hours of first team batting and half an hour of lunch break till 2.30 Pm after that we have 1 hour 30 minutes to sneak in 20 overs to get a game . Ofcourse this is if the rain prediction is exact ...
Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Ireland

Shumba in, Myers out. I wonder if the batting lineup will change? I'm quite happy with Wes being where he is in ODIs tbh so not too keen on him being moved up the order.
Re: 2nd ODI: Zimbabwe vs Ireland
Ha ha the one change I wanted. Welcome shumba. A good addition down the order I think with his innovations
