Is the sweep shot, the only shot zimbabwe players can play against spin?

I dare say this Zimbabwe side can give most of the top sides a good run for their money, which is why I firmly believe if all seniors stick around, auto qualification is not an unrealistic dream.
This is incredibly naive thinking, you haven't been watching cricket long have you? Our strongest side would finish tenth at best
I'd say why not? I watch all cricket games, a lot of teams these days, except India, England, Australia and New zealand are weak teams.

Pak, SLN, WI, even RSA are not as strong as they used to be and all am saying is Zimbabwe can compete well against these sides. Same for Bang.
Those are fair points but with Zimbabwe you have to take other factors into account besides pure talent. Such as; the mental aspect of the game (which Zimbabweans are very poor at), player revolts, injuries, sudden retirements(e.g Taylor and Mire), talent emigrating (like Blessing), politics, below average coaching...

That's what I mean, we play Singapore and UAE and Scotland and Ireland and... it's all a bit embarrassing.

If a South African franchise offers Madhevere a pathway to the Proteas, how could he refuse?

When Taylor was his age, sure it was bleak without test status but when we played Bermuda or Canada we absolutely annihilated them. And there were plenty of proper ODI series against West Indies and South Africa and so on, World Cups and Champions Trophies.

Fast forward to now, we've got Scotland up next and they'll probably beat us.

Wes has been playing some poor shots under no pressure. He is still not capable of playing a big innings this kid. He needs to rotate the strike

Which country are you in?

It's on Fox Cricket in Australia... incredibly. Half of the cricket series played in the world they don't air, but they air Zimbabwe vs Ireland  Not that I'm complaining!

Gutted that I'll be looking at stats with Taylor just short of a couple of 10,000s for the rest of my life.
Ah, so the List A 10000 was what you were referring to in the Stats thread then...
he could still get those. He's only retired from international cricket from reports i've seen. one more season of Logan cup and pro50 might be enough
