Milton Shumba

Post by CalZim »

Just want to leave this one here for everyone to enjoy again and again.

I don’t care that it was only against Scotland, that’s the best t20i innings I have seen from a Zimbabwean.

If you ever feel down about Zimbabwe cricket just watch the last 6 overs of this innings.

He has the skillset to become a very good ODI player. Pity we don't get that many ODIs these days. To be honest Myers, Shumba and Wes can probably bat at 3, 4 and 5 for a very long time. I'm just concerned that we didn't see Myers this last week. I really hope he hasn't gone to Uni. That would be a real shame

What we need are young openers.

It really was sensational. Was jumping up and down with my 7-year old daughter who up until now has shown literally zero interest in cricket! Brilliant.

Shumba should open at least in ODIs and Tests.

The day Myers gets it right is the day people will see we aren't done yet. He has a deadly 6 shot in his armoury too. I just hope they convince him to stick around.

Could be good if he plays some good club cricket while at it. Could come back an even better 23 year old. Similar to Masakadza when he was away for 3 years in Varsity.

On the contrary I think Hamilton going to uni was (for his cricketing ability) a bad move.
