I'm really hoping for a big season for PJ. He is a very Important piece of the transition. If he catches some form like Regis did he will be lethal.
He has a start today, 34 not out off 50. Ireland will come calling soon as Neil Rock their current wk is not pulling up any trees. If he does not get back in the national side over the winter than he will be Irish.

I keep saying this but his keeping has declined hugely over the past few years. I'm glad he hasn't got the gloves for Mountaineers. Think he needs to abandon keeping and focus on regaining his batting form. Regis is a much better glovesman nowadays and is a certainty in the national side for the next couple of years.

PJ needs to win his national place back as a top order batsman. A definite chance with BT retiring, Williams' status being unknown and Myers unavailable. There's quite a few guys already putting their hands up this season though so it's going to be competitive. Hopefully PJ can dominate and earn his place back.

If we get a new Head Coach then there will probably be a refresh of the national group anyway and that will provide opportunities.

Is Myers playing or has he quit Zimbabwe?

He's gone to uni. Southampton according to the rumours.

Yes I'm definitely looking at PJ as a top order batsman without the gloves but just an alternative if Regis gets injured. Not the primary keeper. Marumani should just focus on his batting for now. That would mean Mutumbami would be getting free holidays as it stands. I would rather have PJ in the squad.

Keith Jaure isn't doing much wrong, now that he got his opportunity.

He had been talked up as a future star in his schoolboy days; first featured in this forum almost 11 years ago, and he's still only 23.

Ironically in one of his first mentions here, in 2011, he was spoken of in the same breath as Brad Evans, whose injury now has made way for Keith.

Do we know anything about his bowling?

Oh yes, I remember at that point Glen Byrom writing about him as the best young (left arm) spinner in the country. And he then chose to become a pacer. A reverse-Chisoro, basically.

Googly had glowing reviews of his initial days as left arm pacer too, on the forums, if I remember correctly.

Again, I was quite sure that the safest partnership for Mountaneers would come from Don and Wellington. That is bad that lineup is. Wellington is actually becoming a very dependable batsman to put up about 30 or so runs every time he walks out to bat.

No Burl again, looks like another freak injury as usual?
Thanks for posting these, Cricinfo is annoying to find Zim scorecards on.
