I'm glad we have a series against Ireland and USA but probably not a benchmark to show where we are in terms of competitiveness

Yeah. The US aren't even qualified for the world cup. But an international match against an international team is better than nothing. They should be beating the US and Ireland comfortably so let's see.

Panashe Taruvinga is only 15....I didn't realise he was so young! He's really well thought of and talked about locally so thats quite exciting. He's one to watch for 2024 for sure.

The lad with the beard chose a fine time to have a feel of how his growth was doing
Which one is Taruvinga?

Re: 2022 U19 World Cup Thread
We do need a new under 19 coach someone who can inspire confidence in the team and not someone negative.
I'm not talking about somebody giving unrealistic expectations to the players about winning the under 19 trophy or something but seeing the prosper interview has made me quite annoyed. Skill set is one thing but another big aspect is the mental side of playing and having confidence in abilities and in difficult situations.
We all know that a certain person seemed to play for himself in his playing days and this is merely history repeating

Utseya always seemed more happy to lose than to win.

Lol that’s Wolhuter with the youthful beard.
Not sure which one Taruvinga is in the photo. He’s had a sport scholarship in SA all through high school so I’ve never really seen him in the flesh.
