He was a reserve in our last U19 WC squad wasn't he? Schooled in SA I think.

This is what needs to change if we have even the remotest chance of improving our cricket.
Surely they should have gotten hold of this guy a year ago and said he was in the team??
Zc don't give a fuck, but he's good enuf for SA?
And they're flying non traveling reserves around that nobody has ever seen? If he makes that SA side then he's just plain good!! No accountability for letting this guy slip through the net.

I think he was a leftie as well, if I recall.

Maybe there is a plausible explanation like his family and him moved to SA.Googly wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 6:34 pmThis is what needs to change if we have even the remotest chance of improving our cricket.

I'm prepared to bet Matigimu and Ruwisi would be the two quickest bowlers in Zim if they were here. We'd suddenly have some depth to choose from. It's so unnecessary and annoying for us fans to watch this ad nauseum.
Re: 2022 U19 World Cup Thread
Matigimu should be low hanging fruit if Zimbabwe engage him and make him an offer, dangle a few carrots.
Steve mangongo said in 2020 matigimu should be opening the bowling for zim.
Sure if their is dialogue and communication the hope is always there
