Damn, Maruma will be on that plane, it’ll be 10 vs 11 in Sri Lanka

I swear the day Maruma gets past 20 runs in an international match he is going to score a Mire style century

He isn't international standard but the truth is he is slightly better than the rest of the domestic guys. It just hasn't happened for him. The day I saw him live I was shocked.

Good for him if he scores runs. I agree I don't think he is good enough but he was never given a fair chance batting at 7/8 but then again he was not better than those batting in the top 6.

A lot of the senior guys really get along with him as well. That's another reason he will keep on getting chances

The one thing Jongwe has going for him is his slower ball, far better than our other pacers, however his stock ball is very average. I could accept him if he was scoring a few runs down the order but apart from a quick 20 I can't see him contributing significant runs.

Chamu, Mutumbami and R Kaia are all part of the same cartel and they have been binned so idk.

He does this every time though. Scores big in the practice match, then goes on tour and does absolutely nothing. 121 domestic Pro50 matches in Zim and only 2 centuries ffs.

I think it's all a bit tragic
Fair play to him for still rocking up after all these years and trying. It would have been easier to retire.
It's certainly the strangest 15 year international career I've seen.
It also flies in the face of rajputs youth policy...and if they are so willing to keep Maruma around the team why not a similar effort made with Taylor?
