U19CWC: Zimbabwe U19s Vs Afghanistan | 22nd Jan 2022
Re: U19CWC: Zimbabwe U19s Vs Afghanistan | 22nd Jan 2022
I've just heard that Zvinoera is playing with a fractured bone in his foot, been like that for a while, just punching through it. Now there's a dude you need in your corner.

That was our strongest line up I think, but doubt we will see that XI again. I predict a curve ball on its way.

We'll probably see quite a few changes in the plate, everyone will get a game or two.
Yeah Zvinoera is a trooper. Got smashed for 40 off 4 overs, could barely walk, went off the field crawling up the stairs. But came back on and bowled fantastically well! I really like all three seamers.
So the first plate match is Scotland. Could be a banana skin there - I see they did pretty decent against Australia.

I’d be weary of changing shit up too Quick. We need to show the world we are still thereabouts

Zim under 19 boys are talented if they get proper exposure they can create results. Zim should have that 6th franchise inform of Rangers or ZRS where these under 19s can get selected along with few stars in 70-30 composition, and play against the seniors where they could be well prepared for the age group events

All in all a dissappointing reault but I expected it. My concern here is that if the next gen of Zimbabwe players are not able to beat the next gen of Afghanistan, and we know that not all of these boys will stick around in Zimbabwe, then.. Well... It doesn't make for promising outlook.
Anyways I hope Zimbabwe are able to retain this young talent. Esp Welch, Bawa and Bennett brothers.
