He can always move back to WI of course if he doesn't make it for England. A Warwickshire contract is probably worth 10x more than he'd get playing for the local Barbados association, so I don't blame him really.

At least it means we can keep up the jokes about none of the English team being English for longer though

(Also: re white talent out of the Windies - see Joshua Da Silva!)
I just learnt that Phil Salt, who debuted for England the other day, lived in Barbados from age 9 to 15 and credits it as the place he learnt his cricket as well!

Phil Salt couldn't get a contract at Sussex, played twos, got picked up by Lancs or someone and within months I think had an England game if I'm not mistaken. You have to wonder.

I enjoy this u19 stuff more than men's cricket. Some of these guys are ready for international cricket right now.

Very unfortunate isnt it. Jofra, Salt and Bethell wouldve all easily walked into the side

This Wyllie coyote opening for Australia hits the ball as hard as anyone in world cricket. That one pull shot must have come off the bat at 150.

Not able to watch this, but how is the gigantic Pakistani seamer looking? It's his first game I think?

Theyre all really tall, hard to tell which one it is, but I don't think he's playing? They have bowled hooping rockets and these Aussies have somehow kept them all out.
This pitch is turning square as well.
