Pakistan are putting Sri Lanka to the sword.
Qasim Akram is bloody deadly!!!
These half dead rubbers where there's only spots to play for means they can play with clear heads.

Re: 2022 U19 World Cup Thread
Brian Bennet is amongst the top 5 leading run scorers so far in this WC. Might slip off the list depending on what happens in the final, but take a bow, BB. Brilliant stuff!!!

17 yo Ariful Islam with back to back hundreds vs Pakistan and South Africa. Now thats quite brilliant. Idk if SA's bowling is any good (they were bang average last time even including the speedster Coetze), but for a 17 yo to get consecutive hundreds is quite impressive. Didn't realize there was any talent in this BD U19 team. Just for comparison, I don't think any other top order batter got past 30 in this tournament except against rank minnows UAE and Canada. Ariful didn't even get to bat against those two sides since he came in at #5.

I was wondering if they were to name a team of the tournament if BB would slip in.

I haven't gotten a chance to watch him yet (I've got the Pakistan game on my DVR), but what stood out was that he hit 7 sixes in those two innings. Thats a lot for a top order batter and seems to indicate he's got some power in his slight build.slcricfan1 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 1:34 am

Terrific s/r too. Being the only batter to make a major score against the Pakistanis also show he`s got guts.Kriterion_BD wrote: ↑Fri Feb 04, 2022 11:19 amI haven't gotten a chance to watch him yet (I've got the Pakistan game on my DVR), but what stood out was that he hit 7 sixes in those two innings.
