The ICC (specifically the larger boards) are at fault for continuously conspiring to ensure as few opportunities as possible are available for any nations outside of the top 8/9.

You won't listen, so more fool me for even conversing with you.

Have Ireland really played that much recently?

Ireland have been playing their designated Super League fixtures. Standard. Zim will catch-up on games played before the end of this year.

Their series in the USA was a lovely idea, but it was generously funded entirely by the USA and USA sponsors. Hence why the reports of how angry USA Cricket were when the Irish had some well documented Christmas parties and then the series ended up getting abandoned with Covid. USA Cricket lost a small fortune. Ireland paid nothing towards this series.

Ireland are playing a warm-up series ahead of their T20WCQ. What's special about that? I imagine Zimbabwe will do exactly the same before our qualifier in a few months, yes. So what's so special about this?

People living in fantasy land saying we should organise tours to Kenya or Uganda  Are you going to pay for it buddy? These countries have even less money than us! Funnily enough it actually does cost money to fly 20 people to another country, accommodate and feed them for a week or two, and put all the measures in place regarding ICC Regs including ICC ACU provision which is costly, and compulsory when a match involves at least one full member.

Who's paying for it? ZC can't even provide food or drink for its so called 'elite' domestic players at games anymore. Players have been seen driving from OH to Chicken Inn during play in their whites. I'm not even joking. You really think ZC are gonna spend several thousands to send our boys to Uganda?!?!

I'm sure some sub-continent blokes fanboy over Ireland purely because they are white and first-world.
I agree SZ that playing lower ranked nations is not a feasible option, but at least ZC should make some efforts to get things happening.

Sri Lanka tour was supposed to have 3 T20s as well, ZC could have made efforts to convince SLN to tweak the schedule a bit or may be play a 2nd string side who are not going to Australia.

Afghanistan are now playing Bangladesh within the PSL window, and it is ZC who have taken the blame upon themselves for not able to organize Afghanistan games due to unavailability of DRS. This makes me believe that indeed ZC was unable to meet requirements rather than Afghans wanting to cancel the tour.

Even regarding the WSL games, Zimbabwe have no clarity over fixtures against Netherlands , India, Australia... If I'm not wrong I read on this forum itself that ZC was not ready to host Netherlands when they were touring South Africa, that series wouldn't have happened anyways due to omicron at that time, but the point is it was never in plans of ZC.

I can see ZC focus a lot on the Logan Cup, which is great, but why don't they push for more tests whenever they have a series? Against bigger nations it will make sense to push for it.

The ICC won't do a thing, forget it, they are useless. ZC should independently make efforts for more fixtures, I know it is NOT easy, all decisons are commercial these days but for a cricket board that has been around in international cricket since 1983, I expect better things.

The plan is to play as little cricket as possible.
Nobody wants to play us and ZC doesn't want to play anybody, it's a simple thing.

I suspect we will still play a lot of games this year. They have just had a slow start. It's actually could be a busy year by the end of it. I don't mind us actually playing our full domestic season first then the matches come.

The problem is lack of communication but they are lining up quite a few games

So tell us who, where and when. It would be good to see how successful they will be

The lack of official communication is deliberate so nobody can point a finger and say..but you said.
Nobody would anyway, the players would kneel and say thank you for organising us a game against Kenya and Mozamibique Second team, we are uber grateful and sorry for bothering you, you must be really busy campaigning, sorry for having to dip into campaign funds.

So now it could potentially look like this;

Jan - SL away (3 ODIs)
April - Ireland home (5 ODIs, 3 T20Is, potential Test)
June? (Could be moved to August) - Bangladesh home (5 ODIs, 3 T20Is, Test cancelled?)
July - T20 Warm-ups
July - T20 Global Qualifier home
July-August - Netherlands home (3 ODIs)
November - Afghanistan home (all 3 formats)

Still to play: India at home and Australia away - all ODIs.

There's also talks ongoing for away tours to both South Africa and West Indies in 2022.

Whatever happened to the two 'A' tours - home and away - with Pakistan?

Sony is advertising India's tour of Zimbabwe for July, but I think it's very unlikely at that time.

The problem is no team took the Super League very seriously, except for perhaps Bangladesh and given they are 2nd on the table, I'd expect them to not give a shit anymore either. Pakistan and NZ played an ODI series and the matches didn't count because the teams hadn't agreed to play day nighters or something asanine like that. Dumbest excuse given. Even dumber than ZIM and AFG series getting cancelled.

Now that the SL has been scrapped...look for more teams to just not give a F.

Thank god everyone takes the WTC seriously at least.
