Ya and he started his career off really well and obviously took his foot off the pedal. Hopefully he's had a reality check and knows now you have to keep grinding and you're only as good as your last game. He's got potential for sure.

Tuskers title hopes hanging in the balance here. Great resistance from Rhinos so far

Mavuta and Wellington have had decent seasons with bat and ball. Mavuta with 30 wickets, Wellington on 29. Only Masuku has more with 31. Mavuta is averaging 47 with the bat this season and Wellington is averaging 33.

Makes more sense to have Mavuta in the squad for me than Mutombodzi. Mutombodzi is in his 30s. Mavuta is 24.
If only our selectors and coaching staff applied the same logic and common sense. It’s a no-brainer, with good management he (Brandon) is potentially a long-term successor to Raza. Tbh on current form, he should be pushing Burl for that no. 7 spot

They are hanging on in there just about. Tense finish. Tuskers really need this

Great result for Tuskers in the end! Keeps the end of the season very exciting between them and Mountaineers. Rocks still have an outside chance

They always seem to stream the worst of the two matches!!! Frustrating

Same age as Ngarava too. That grind is important. The Mzansi Super League might have given him too much confidence but i think he has learned a lot from that time. 131 FC wickets too now. He just might be ready to challenge Burl.

I still think Mavuta goes for a few too many runs per over at FC level. This suggests there are still too many bad balls and that top international players are going to tuck into him, unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong.

He will never be as good a batsman as Burl, but perhaps a better bowler.
