County sides touring zimbabwe
County sides touring zimbabwe
We had a few in 2020 but that was cancelled due to COVID19. Things eased off a bit and zimbabwe no longer on red list. What is the prospect of countu sides visiting this march especially with the Houghton connections?
Re: County sides touring zimbabwe
Their season starts in April. I'd guess a good time for them would be anywhere between mid Jan and mid March. It would be a really good way of getting some free quality cricket. It would be a real problem who they played, ideally it would need to be a Zim A side but called something else.

I don't think it will be this year tbh. These counties are highly organised, I suppose they would have been planning tours several months ago, when we were still on that ridiculous travel blacklist.

Id like to think our masakadzas and houghtons of the world are doing the job properly and working in the background on this.
Better than certain people in ZC who only seem to pipe up when it comes to writing poison pen pieces on white cricketers

ZC probably do want stuff like this to happen tbh - it's win-win for them, costs nothing etc.
Btw Hamilton is probably not going to be around for much longer though. Stuck up for BT on radio last week, said "He just made a mistake that is all. It takes the gloss off his career but really we can never take the shine off what he did for Zimbabwean cricket". Also apparently he's been largely AWOL for the past few months. Not sure what's going on there.

Wow that takes real guts and balls to do that
I think we need more level headed individuals in ZC like him and not the poison pen individuals who head the organisation. We need to unify everyone not alienate and though what streak and taylor did was stupid and wrong the emotional headlines comparing streak to a rapist has done much more harm than good for ZC as a cricket organisation.

Isn't BT a friend of masakadzas? It would be very low of masakadza to stab him in the back. Good to see Hami providing a well balanced answer.slcricfan1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 12:25 amYeah very nice to seeDonald wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 9:00 pmsecretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 8:49 pm

Woah! That is interesting! I was expecting him to toe the ZC line.secretzimbo wrote: ↑Wed Feb 16, 2022 8:49 pmZC probably do want stuff like this to happen tbh - it's win-win for them, costs nothing etc.

I think Hami and BT always had a good relationship. As for his job he has been setup as the perfect scapegoat if things go wrong and we don't qualify for these world cups.
I think COVID fears stopped any tours happening this year but I'm sure next year we will get something
